    Spaceballs: The series---who likes it?

I caught the 2nd half of an episode yesterday on G4. No closing credits, just company logos, including MGM. I don't know who they got to replace the late John Candy (since it sounds like the rest of the cast, including Mel Brooks, Daphne Zuniga, & Joan Rivers, is on board), maybe Frank Caliendo, I don't know, but the casting saved this from being a total dog.

I know flash animation is all the rage, but it goes out the window when you don't do enough to animate the backgrounds. Looks like animated colorforms to me.

Ya know, I didn't realize Skroob (Brooks) was such a jerkwad, but then how long's it been since I saw the movie in theatres?

I'm sorry, but I don't see a long-term future for this show. How about the rest of y'all?

It's Tino Insana, who previously voiced Uncle Ted on Bobby's World and Bushroot on Darkwing Duck, among other things.

Didn't even know the show had premiered. But hearing that its done in Flash is a big turn off for me.

A huge fan of the original movie, I grinned and beared it through the first two-hour-long marathon, then told my best friend (who's an even bigger fan): never again...

Bottom line: it's a bad 80's Saturday Morning cartoon (complete with terrible animation) with immature adult humor thrown in...

I have a feeling that if this show actually had been produced for Saturday mornings back when the movie was actually relevant, we'd have gotten a better final product.

    EDIT:

This show looks ok, nothing I'd watch though.

    I give it 1 season.

Ok show, some good episodes and some pretty lame ones.
