Cartoons can be hated, but THIS?!?!

    Like This Thread!
I went on google to find out if someone actually thinks that cartoons are evil. Sure enough:

    *ahem*

Poe's Law: Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing.
Although I'd say that the photoshopped images constitute "blatant displays of humour".

This, on the other hand, seems to be genuine:

The Veggie Tales are tremendously popular with our grandkids. My husband thinks that all animation, whether it is veggies or something else, is not good. What is your opinion? Is it right to allow non-humans to talk?

God gave us cartoons and they can be used to entertain and to educate. These are probably the same kind of people who believe all music is bad and all written word besides the bible is bad. It's non-sense. People can worship God through writing, drawing, acting, singing, etc.

Also... Megas XLR teaches kids it's okay to be white trash? Oooooooh kay... That's just hillarious.

It's good to have God in our lives.

It isn't so much the animation itself as it is how much you watch of it.If you spent hours watching cartoons, that wouldn't be a good idea.
Lavender... it's not violet (blue wouldn't have it) and it aint royal. But it's still purple.

They call Dora the Explorer one of "the most dangerous and blasphemous" cartoons? I want to give them a copy of Neon Genesis Evangelion and watch their heads explode.

I'm all for freedom of belief and respecting other people's faith, but these guys need to come back to reality.

    Oh, for Pete's sake:

Did everyone here suddenly lose their sense of humour overnight or something? This is a parody. It's a joke. It's not real.

Quoting in big text just in case someone missed it in their hurry to condemn/defend Christianity:

Shutting down this thread for now before it turns into another one of those tiresome "Let's Attack/Defend Christianity" threads that serves no beneficial purpose and just gets lots and lots of people angry. If a GA mod sees the need to re-open, we'll re-open.
