Sorry if this was made before.

Ok, like movies I'm sure we may have had a cartoon in our life that gained a big fandom but you didn't like it.

For me: (I'm gonna get shot for this) Avatar: The Last Airbender. I gave that show a few tries, but I don't know, I just couldn't get into it. It just really bored me. The characters were boring (but I liked sokka hes alright) and the show in general just didn't entertain me.

    I agree.

Also, at the time Family Guy was at it's peak, I didn't like it. I barely gave it a chance. But as time went by, I found myself watching a bit more and more of it until I actually said "Hey, this is good for a laugh."

ESPCIALLY SEASON 3 why is season 3 so gooooddd.

Same with me for Family Guy. Weird thing with me now though is I'm starting to get really sick of that show unfortunately.

The shows I tried to like but sadly I gave up on is Spongebob Squarepants. I just couldn't get into it as everyone else I know has. And Family Guy, I did like the 3 seasons of it, but as for season 4 and up I didn't get that either. It didn't have the charm like it did the early seasons have.

Metalacolypse. I was never that big into metal so the concept wasn't appealing. And looking at it from a non-metal fan's point of view, the characters really aren't all that interesting and the episodes fell into a predictable formula after awhile. It was one of the few AS shows I ever watched that crossed the line of being stupidly funny to being just plain stupid.

Honestly, I did not like Clerks: The Animated Series at all. I happened to rent the DVD boxset once, watched every episode and didn't like a single one. The show just felt so boring and watered down to me. On top of that, the fact that the DVD was R-rated. Really, the animated series was tame enough for anyone aged twelve and up to watch. Was it really necessary to add the vulgar live-action cutscenes with Jay and Silent Bob just to up the rating? I suppose they were trying to get the attention of Kevin Smith's main audience (i.e., adults) to watch the boxset. And if that's the case, that seems pretty deceitful if you ask me.

Not to derail the thread, but: why weren't you allowed to watch Rugrats? There wasn't anything controversial about it. The show's biggest crime was that it was a tad innocuous.

    Avatar: Way too boring
Family Guy: At least old cartoons (i.e. Looney Tunes) that were mean-spirited: a. weren't overly so, and b. didn't try pathetically hard to be funny.

That's all I've got for now.

Same. I'm not a fan of metal or gore, so it wasn't my kind of show in the first place. I just couldn't get into the characters and the humor style. I've seen some describe the show as being satirical, but I dunno, it doesn't seem that way to me.

There are a few other shows I have in mind in concern to the topic but I'm drawing a blank as usual.

EDIT: Annnd there's Family Guy. I don't "hate" it; it has it's moments time to time. But it's just too shallow for my liking and I really don't care for the characters (most of them to me are unlikable) and the style of humor.

I'm of the same mind. I dunno, something about it, I wasn't feeling it at all.

One of the shows I just didn't get into is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. It was decent for me at the start but as soon as got to the character Cheese, it turned me off since I figured "This guy is going to get popular somehow and he'll get more episodes" and I knew his first appearence wouldn't be his last.

And the jokes just weren't funny to me and Bloo was kind of irritating to me as well but I tolerated him but still.

Eh, IMO Metalocalypse would be a better show if they would just drop the excess blood, gore, violence, devastation and apocalyptic mumbo-jumbo and just focus on the band themselves as mega-rich, mega-clueless mega-stars, kind of like This Is Spinal Tap.

Other than that, my only real complaint about Metalocalypse is that the most recent episodes haven't been that good.

Well you have to admit, that show is mainly aiming more at the male audience who digs blood, gore, violence and heavy metal.
