An animated version of Titanic

Like This Thread!
I just discovered that there is an animated direct-to-video release of a version of that famous James Cameroon movie and they altered a piece of history just to make it more child-friendly.
You can read more about it here.

Ohhhh, I think that's the one that even changed the ending so everybody survived. Yeah, gotta love that company. I am waiting for their next totally tasteless release: World Trade Center Down, featuring little rats as the workers in these huge towers that somehow survive the attack from terrorist cats. And the towers don't fall, they just get fixed and they go on with their happy little rat lives.

btw-no, I am not being serious! I hope that company does no more cartoons!

I remember hearing about this. For one strange reason or another didn't the animals mysteriously disappear from the story at the end? So for all intents and purposes they could have gone down with the ship.

So why hasn't there been a love story set on the Hindenburg yet?

Don't let me go, Jack Rabbit!

Oh, yes....THAT thing. I've read about it a while back, and simply thanked God that it has yet to be seen in any of the rental stores I've been in, or else I'd have raised Heck a LOOOONG time ago!

Its an insult to funny animal cartoons...well, that and NIHM 2, which I ain't EVER getting over!
What you call Courage, is it not just Pride?
What you think is Love, could it not be just Lust?
Has your want for Friendship ever been blinded by your Wrath?
Does your thirst for Knowledge ever get tainted by Greed?
Does your sense of Reliability ever come short and become Sloth?
Is it truly Sincerity...or merely Envy?
Is it truly Hope that you seek or are you just a victim of Gluttony?

Where are your Savers...?

I don't think Hindenburg would work, myself. I'd like to think that's why it hasn't been done. I can picture a WTC-set movie some years in the future, floors sliding down and all (anyone see the thing on TLC?)

But it has been done! It got the big budget disaster film treatment in "The Hindenburg", a 1975 film starring George C. Scott, Anne Bancroft, Charles Durning, and Burgess Meredith, and directed by Robert ("The Sound of Music") Wise. I've never seen it, but the reviews were universally negative.

Man... there's one less thing to be optimistic about...

BTW, any of you guys know about the Nazis' Titanic? http://us.imdb.com/Title?0036443

I saw clips of it on tv around the time Cameron's came out...

Disaster flicks

Well, how about the Lusitania? Have any movies been made about that ship? Propoganda-wise, it earned a lot of pro-American ink during the Great War...until it was learned that the supposedly peaceful craft was carrying a load of munitions in her belly....

I've said it before, I'll say it again:
Who in all of the nine levels of Hell greenlights these movies???
I mean, come on! It's bad enough to make a movie about the Titanic, but to change the ending so nobody dies? Hell, why don't we make a animated World War II movie where all the Jews escape the concentration camps and kill Hitler? Screwing with a decent movie is one thing; screwing with tragic history is another.
