I wouldn't remake a show. In my opinion, cartoon remakes don't turn out well.
Hi all, name's Speedy and this is my first thread (since I'm a Newbie)
and so my first thread is a "What would you do if you could thread"
The idea is this...
If you could take any cartoon characters from an old show (Loony toons)
how would you remake those characters and and what kind of show would it be (Loonatics)
RULES
-No characters from shows made after the year 2000

I wouldn't remake a show. In my opinion, cartoon remakes don't turn out well.
For years, I've had ideas for a version of a new version of "Pokémon" (which launched in Japan in 1997, so it fits the criteria) that downplayed the battling and instead focused on the personalities of the human characters. A lack of fully-realized characters is the show's biggest Achilles' heel at the moment, and I can't bring myself to watch a show that swaps character development for shameless advertising.

Actually, I thought there was a LOT of character development during the Hoenn season, mainly because Misty left (whom ever since she got Togepi did pretty much nothing) and May and Max came along (two characters with actual purposes).
I can't honestly think of a show I would remake. I can think of tons of bad cartoons, but I doubt I could do any better.

I was thinking what if they had a Pokemon show that was based more off of the games.

They remade Scooby-Doo this past season and it's not fun anymore. Whose idea was it to come up with this latest remake called "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo, Get A Clue"? [Bleah!]
Let me see.
The one show i'd like to reamke is Captain N: The Game Master. that show had 9squandered) potential.
Zim: "I thought the Tallest killed you."
Skoodge "Yeah, but I'm all right now."
Mad Jack the Pirate: "You were DEAD! How do you get better from being DEAD, you Scottish twit?!??"
I'd make a dark version of Captain Planet, in the vein JLU in terms of tone. I think that'd be pretty cool.
From what I remember, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was pretty goofy, relying mostly on spoofing famous movies. I'd like to see a more straight-forward version.
An updated Speed Racer would be cool, too. I dug The New Adventures of Speed Racer back in '93, but I know no one else did.

Current TV Faves: Arrow, Bates Motel, The Big Bang Theory, Blue Bloods, The Client List, Elementary, Ghost Adventures, Toy Hunter.
I always thought that a darker, more mature, more continuity driven version of Silverhawks would be awesome.
So lets see here,so far we have Pokemon, Captain N: the game master (did not see that one coming), a siviler hawks remake would be beyond cool and Speed Racer, you know that is a cool show (the first one I knew was 90's one) but it's a show that is remade every now and then, I mean there's a live action movie coming out in a few years isn't there?
Now here's a another question I came up with, For a new Captain N series, what would your roster of main characters be?

Well, I can think of only two modifications that I would make to Tiny Toon Adventures, and y'all have probably heard them from me before....
#1. Absolutely no preachy episodes!
#2. More Fifi, more Calamity, more Fowlmouth, more Gogo.... and less Elmyra!
It would be perfect then.![]()

QFT. With more equal focus on the characters and less forced political correctness, TTA would almost certainly have rivaled the original Looney Tunes for pure, unbridled animated excellence. (Fortunately, it's still pretty darn excellent already.)
