The fact that this is getting it's own animated series kinda scares me....
The first two episodes premered today on 4Kids TV and are also on Xbox Live.
Discuss.
What do you get when you put three friends in a recording booth once a week, screen old anime, and tell them to make sense of it? You get the Anime of Yesteryear Podcast! Tune in each week as we kick back and discuss anime of old, both the well-known and the obscure, as well as our thoughts on the latest developments in the world of comics. (Updates Weekly!)

BTW, do you know anyone that could make me an icon? If so, would you mind PMing me? Thanks!
But anyway, I got scared about it from this post I read at DKVine ( Another forum I occaisonally lurk.
Was this a Rareware property that 4Kids optioned, or is Rareware just doing the tie-in video game?
Note to self: No More Heroes avatar in use since April 10/2009. Previous avatar lasted 2 years, 9 months and 4 days!!! Holy Stale Avatar Batman!!
This the the big 4kids/Microsoft deal that has been talked about for a while now. Anyway I fond it enjoyable.
You know some people wait until AFTER the video game comes out to make an Animated Series based on it, but NOT with Rare!!!
I saw it. It was okay. The show was a little bit charming, but one question remains. Why the heck do some of those piņatas actually wanted to be beaten?
Visual-wise, it's appealing. Writing-wise... It's better than "Donkey Kong Country".
"Did I just kill 'Premature Ejaculation'?"
Whilst it's highly uncooth of me, this fails for not being A Banjo Kazooie cartoon.
go to hell 4kids and microsoft
how could you do this voilence is wrong!

Kinda meh.
I spent more time wondering what the pink cat-thing with the bulging eyes was supposed to be.

"Sore wa himitsu desu."
"There is no front or behind! Only your destruction!!" - Ashuramaru, SDGundam
"Yopopoi! Tupopoi! Supopopopoi!" -Yopopo
So, who thinks this is gonna save 4Kids?
Not me. Though I have seen stupider stuff be successful.
Meh... this looks too expensive (in term of animation) for a show barely above Coconut Fred in term of writting -.-
"People who meddle with secret identities get their memories erased."
-------------
"You murdered your own alter ego? Sounds socially awkward."
That said, the "I dislocated my eyebrow" line was funny.
Meh...
If I want a show about talking thingies that shouldn't normally talk I'll watch ' The (very) Good Adventures of Yam Roll in Happy Kingdom'.
I don't understand how you can get a video game out of pinatas like that oO

This is Rare, the same rare that calls an inamitate object with a pair of eyes a new chracter.
It's not supposed to save 4Kids, it's supposed to save Rareware. The TV show is just to be a cheap tie-in to help the sales of the upcoming video game. That's why it's being done in the first place. And even if this show is hated by all, damnit I hope it succeeds. Rare needs the money and I need to see another Banjo-Kazooie game.Originally Posted by Lutochris

Well it IS giving us a few hints as to how to find certain pinatas in the game if the second episode is anything to go by.Also missing is the connection to the Video Game.
