Okay, now that someone responded, I'll give my opinions

Hank: he's got his faults, but Hank really is a decent, down to earth guy. He likes things simple and tries not to let the little things get to him. He's the complete opposite of Homer Simpson. Of course, when things do get to him, they really shake him up.

Bobby: what a sweet kid. He's got strange ambitions, but what a drive this kid's got. I just love his funny responses to things and how he cares so much for people. Like kiddiessunshine said, he does his thang

Luanne: okay, so she's pretty brainless, but she has a great heart. And we've seen her grow considerably throughout the series as she deals with growing up and loss and failure. I'm happy she's got a simple-minded point of view, because this girl's been through hell

Boomhauer: this guy is fantastic, though underused. He seems like a decent guy, but there's much we dont know.

Dale: he has lots of faults, but deep down we all know he's a sensitive guy. i mean, his wife cheated on him for years and his son isnt even his. He is a characters that's easy to like.

Bill: my heart breaks for this man every time someone blows him off. He's been b*tch-slapped by life way too often. He's like a wounded puppy searching for acceptance.

Peggy: this woman is deranged. How Hank ever married her is a mystery. She deserves to be put in her place. I hate her name dropping and her huge ego. I'd like to shove those substitute teacher awards...well...never mind....

Re: What do you think of the characters on King of the Hill

Hank-Straight and narrow, old fashioned, a good man and an excellent father.

Bobby-He's got a good heart, even if he is a little too goofy sometimes. The boy ain't right, indeed!

Luanne-cute, but ditzy. Might be an act, tho.

Bill-Total loser, and some what scary. But I like his character for those reasons too. He's often funny.

Dale-He is the rejected member of the Lone Gunmen. But he's also one of the good guys.

Boomhauer-I agree that there hasn't been much done about him that makes is character still rather mysterious, but I think he's funny.

Cotton (Hank's father)-Hate him. He's a real pain in the ass.

Peggy-She may have a big ego but she really got cut down a few notches with that episode in Mexico. Despite her faults, I think she's capable of learning and becoming a better character, tho she may have to go thru those lessons a few times before she learns.

Before I list my thoughts, I'll just say that there is a real life counterpart to all these characters. Yes, and they all shop at the grocery store I work at. On then...

Hank: The All-American, knows what he wants, how he wants it, and a fairly straight foward guy. He's the man IMO...

Bobby: In need of some Ritilan, but a good kid at heart. "What're you talking about?" Pretty funny as well... "There's an after school special on today. It's about Jesus."...

Luane: Not the brightest bulb in the lot, but she means well...

Bill: A sad, sad man.... kinda like my uncle...

Dale: Put him on the X-Files, at least then it'd have something going for it Seriously, a really big part of the funny in this show...

Boomhauer: Needs a few more spotlight episodes for himself, I-tell-you-what-man...

Cotton: An older version of my boss... and a frequent womanizing customer of the same age we get occasionally... a real jerk...

Peggy: I'm told she and the mom from That 70's Show are almost like my own mom. She, Peggy that is, does some ridiculous things, but you know she means well... don't hate pn the Peggy, now...

Hank: I like Hank. He's closed minded, but he means well and wants to do what's "right."

Bobby: He's cool, a funny kid.

Peggy: I cant stand her. Like everyone else has said, huge ego. Very annoying.

Luanne: I'm not a big fan of hers. But she's ok at times, it depends.

Bill: Like fhero said, he really is a sad, sad case. However, his efforts of going after Peggy are usually entertaining.

Dale: I think he's hilarious. He's one of my favorite characters.

Boomhauer: He's cool, in that you never understand what he's saying, but I still dont know much about him. Of course, I've missed a lot of episodes.

In the first season it was good but lately it's just "How much more slower can we make Bobby?" type of episodes...

I can do without the show, but I kind of like how Hank Hill is like a younger version of Mr. Anderson from Beavis and Butthead.
