Bonus Stage, for one. There were others, I'm sure, but I can't think of them.
What cartoon or cartoon characthers that have ambiented at some moment in the space but weren't originally conceived to be in the space. Like Josie and the Pussycats and apparently Mickey Mouse in a upcoming feature.
Bonus Stage, for one. There were others, I'm sure, but I can't think of them.
I assume the question is "Which cartoon characters that weren't originally geared toward being space travellers [such as "Star Wars: Clone Wars"] have been into space?"
To list some:
- Batman (he doesn't go into space in the comics until the 1950s "wacky space aliens" era, and various "Justice LEague" stories since then...).
- Homer Simpson (who went into space in the fourth or fifth season)
- Dilbert (he and Dogbert visit the moon via a flying cubicle in one really silly comic storyline)
- Yogi Bear ("Galaxy Goofups" and "Yogi's Space Races")

Bugs Bunny always goes up into space to battle one of his greatest enemies, Marvin the Martian. Same goes with Daffy Duck/Duck Dodgers and Porky Pig/The Eager Young Space Cadet.
Wasn't there a dumb Happy Days spinoff cartoon set in space?
A lot of cartoon Cartoons like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Lab and even Johnny Bravo

Tom and Jerry also went to space (specifically Mars) in a DTV. But characters going to space as a gimmick isn't as prevelent now as it was back in the 70's/80's, where space shows seemed to be a quick way to milk the franchise out some more. I think Strongsad said it best in "best thing" (the 126th Strongbad email) when the rock band Limozeen went to... yeah you guessed it.
STRONG SAD: But why are they in space? There's no reason for them to be in space!
STRONG MAD: Correction my dear Fattson. There's EVERY reason for them to be in space.
I think that puts the whole thing in perspective, dosen't it?

A lot of Disney cartoons saw characters go into space:
Ducktales (several times), Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop
Several Animaniacs shorts took place in space. In fact the last such cartoon was titled Our Final Space Cartoon, We Promise.
One of my long running grips about the short-lived-ness of Road Rovers is that it went into space twice (out of 13 eps), but never needed (or used) spacesuits in either of them. (This is even though they went from one spaceship to another by firing a hole in the bad guy's vessel.)
Remember when Carl Wheezer was too busy singing to let us hear Jimmy Neutron explain their frequent space travels?
There was a 5 ep arc of TMNT in space.
Does anyone remember a Chip and Dale RR ep called "Out to Launch"? I don't (except for the fact that it exists) but I remember seeing a book cover showing Gadget in a custom spacesuit fixing, er, something.
(And in inverse, DinoRiders started in space, but spent the rest of the show grounded on a planet, likewise with Beast Wars.)
Samurai Jack visits space.
Captain Hero ("Drawn Together") visited his home planet once.
An object at rest cannot be stopped.
The Powerpuff Girls have gotten out there a few times, sometimes wearing spacesuits, sometimes not. They've smashed asteroids threatening to collide with the earth, repaired satellites, and (once) tried to repel a hostile extraterrestrial before he'd landed.
There's been three eps where they battled evil alien invaders (Beat Your Greens, Nano Of The North, Forced Kin), but in each case the bulk of the fighting took place on the ground.
Mr. Whiskers from Brandy & Mr. Whiskers went to space, though only for a few seconds because the spacecraft plummeted back towards earth shortly thereafter.
Chiro and the Monkey Team from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! are in space in some episodes of the series.
In fact, in the majority of the third season, the Monkey Team are in space looking for the Skeleton King Worm, in which they will destroy it with bombs when they find it.
In two stupid dogs, they fly into space on one episode because they are looking for an ice cream bar. Do cartoons which are primarily based in space count? What about Timesquad then?
Before "Tom and Jerry Blast Off to Mars", Gene Deitch sent Tom and Jerry into space in 1962, and in 1975, they went into space again in a Planet of the Apes send-up about a Planet of the Dogs, courtesy of Hanna-Barbera. Tom had also been "the first cat to walk on Mars" courtesy of an angry librarian at the end of a Filmation short.
During the Digimon World Tour, the Digidestined did fly at what appeared to be Low Earth Orbit to travel fast.
It's sad that in the end, so much evil is done all in the name of 'Everyone Else is Doing It'.

Christ is risen ! HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
Jackie Chan once went to space in his cartoon series.
The MIB have gone into space a couple of times. Even to other alien planets.
