I remeber watching Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon all the time in the 90's and early 2000's. What ever happened to it?

Nickelodeon no longer has the rights to air Looney Tunes.

Looney Toons started way before the oringinal nicktoons did on Nick. Looney Toons were on Nick from a ten year stint from 1989 to 1999. During this time, they did air the rare Bosco cartoons and the Speedy Gonolazes cartoons. It's a sad shame in America when you can't see Speedy anymore on cable. They had the Nick bumpers announcing the beginning and the end of the program. In the early 90's, Looney Toons were spread on four channels: TBS, TNT, ABC, and Nick. In the mid-90's, all the TNT and TBS Looney Toons went to CN. Around 1998, ABC finally gave in the long standing Bugs and Tweety Show. Nick also gave up its ten year syndictation in 1999. By then, Nickelodeon had their own library of oringinal cartoon and continuing to add. Thus there was no need for Looney Toons on Nick anymore.

I only remember it being on there in the mid-1990s. Never in the late-1980s or early-2000s. By 2000 or 2001, it had been on CN and now it's only on Boomerang

USA Network (part of it's old USA Cartoon Express) had The Flintstones (among many other H-B shows) as well. Before the rights of H-B shows went exclusively to TBS and TNT in 1992 and that was the time CN had launched..
