The Stupid, Greedy, Well-Mannered trio thing has been done by a million other cartoons besides just Ed, Edd, n' Eddy and Catscratch. Ed, Edd, n' Eddy just executes it properly making the characters likeable, unlike Catscratch.
Is it just me, or has anyone ever noticed the similar trios in "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" and "Catscratch"? Waffle is dull but good hearted very much like Ed, Gordon is good mannered and acts like Edd, and Mr. Blik is stuckup about being rich like Eddy. Am I making this up, or are there actual similarities between the two shows? Considering "Catscratch" is a Nicktoon and "Ed, Edd and Eddy" is a cartoon cartoon.

Go. I insist.
Like Mr.Imsonia said.
Camp lazlo does kinda the same thing except , Kind Hearted , Manners and Dull as dirt.
They are both done from two completely separate groups and are based out of two different countries - the US and Canada - but I would not call it a ripoff. Doug TenNapel introduced the cats a long time ago in his Gear comic series, and they act somewhat like the originals. I just like to see the two series as completely independent, the brainchildren of two completely different people.Originally Posted by Looneytunes
Be sure to catch 24 every Monday at 9pm Eastern on Fox (and 10pm Eastern on Global). Watch it, because you know you're brighter than Michael Irvin.
I really don't know why Tennapel took three of the four original cats from his Gear comic series, redesigned two, and created a children's series out of it but if anyone wants to know more about the original comics there is plenty of info here.
