So, tell me: Can the writers make a climax without using deux ex machina? As the final "battle" with The Shredder, it was lacking a lot. I'm dissapointed, really.
And, much like Stockman, speechless. Sigh.

The final battle between the Turtles and the Shredder.... has begun
The time is now, trapped aboard Shredders' starship. the Turltes prepare to engage in a duel to determine the very destiny of the universe, the final battle with The Shredder...has begun.
Comments?

Okay. I was kinda disapointed but, because of one thing. See... the Shredder was exiled to a planet with "very very minimal" chance of escape. Personally, I would have liked to see him out-right executed or killed during battle.
There is a chance of escape and returning when you're "exiled".
There is NO chance of escape and returning when you're "dead".
See the difference.
^ Yeah, I agree. The final fight sohuld've been much more exhilerating, but for some reason it wasn't. And I think Bishop should've played a more bigger role than he did.
And did anyone else notice how Stockman's "Nah Ah Ah" computer program thing resembled the one form the first "Jurassic Park" movie?
I was hoping that Splinter was going to die. They did make it seem like he was. In fact, no one died. Didn't they say that someone wasn't gonna make it out alive or something?
Slade: Hello, birthday girl.
Slade: Ever have one of those days where you just feel happy to be alive?
Slade: Skies will burn, flesh will turn to stone, the sun will set on your world, never to rise again.
Slade: And by the way, happy birthday.
Trigon: Then the world of mortals shall be ended.![]()
And READ "Young Justice" (don't make GUN BUNNY MAD!)
I guess the Utroms don't believe in the death penalty even for mass murderers.
Yeah. Even though Shredder repeatedly tried to destroy them and their homeworld and other worlds as well causing mass genocide and destruction in his wake. Yeah. Really good decision Utroms. :/
I guess they must have a lot of faith in keeping people that icy part of an asteroid ring.
Then again it might work considering how cold it looked there. The shredder might freeze into a block of ice or something. If that happens then I guess the shredder then could die for sure. Realistically there is no coming back from being freezed to death. However... this is a cartoon, so they might pull some lame. "He somehow gets taken off the asteroid ring, gets defrosted and springs back to life."
.... you know I think it would have been much easier if they just killed him instead of just giving him a chance to escape so he can magically appear in future TMNT episodes.
Well, the Utroms are a peaceful race that feel all life is precious. I guess the death penalty is a no-no for them.
Also, isn't this what happened to Krang in the Archie TMNT comic? He got banished to some toxic waste dump planet or something.
And this is Kids' TV, nobody gets killed on-screen.
It was the best episode......until the last ten minutes!![]()
When this episode first started, it was going very well. We had the turtles against Shredder in his new body, the turtles getting their butts handed to them, Stockman taking a page out of Nedry in Jurassic Park (Ah ah ah, you didn't say may I!/Ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word!), Honeycutt rigging the power core, and Karai actually looking like she was ready to switch sides.
Then THEY came...
The Utroms!
They managed to use some kind of stasis bubble to freeze time and haul off the turtles and the Shredder and Karai. Personally, I would've rather had them rescue the turtles and leaving Shredder and Karai behind in the explosion.
Then the trial...
The Utroms, instead of sentencing Shredder (he actually has a real name but I forgot it now!!!) to death like he should for killing MILLIONS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE gets sent to exile on an ice asteroid! What the hell?
At least now the torch of villainy has been passed to Bishop and Stockman!![]()
What a disappointing finale.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON SEASON 3:
Despite the lackluster finale, this was the best season to date. We've seen a lot of good action and envelope-pushing scenes (impaling, deaths, wow!) some great character development (Bishop) and more drama than the other two seasons combined. Hun on the Run still gets my vote as best episode just for the incredible action alone. Same as it Never Was comes in a close second with its incredible detail to darkness and despair.
Here's hoping that the next season with Bishop and Stockman will be good. As for me, I'll be closely watching the main ninja turtles website for the episode list to Season 4.![]()

That said, can someone explain to me the physics behind missiles doing loop-de-loops in space?
I think they probably wouldve been better off leaving the episode on a cliffhanger with the Turtles blowing up the space ship. If they get another season, open it up with the Utrom saving them. They couldve used the extra time to expand out the Turtle-Shredder battle, maybe giving it a more epic feel.
Well if the show goes the way of the comics (atleast from what i understand about the comics), Karai will show up as the new Shredder. It would be interesting to see Hun switch sides and join the Turtles to stop her.
note: Edited to fix the spelling of Karai's name. I knew i shouldve checked that first

I would have been satasified if the utroms would have simply taken the turtles, splinter, karai, that scientist dude, and most importantly, the shredders exosuit off the ship. Then the utroms leave the shredder in just his utrom state on it so he can get blown to peices.
I'd like to see him come back from that.
Hmm a female shredder. That could work. She is now pissed at the turtles that they killed off her master.Originally Posted by BlackoutCreature
Yeah, this episode didn't live up to last week's but honestly, how could it? I still want to know what happened to Hun and Leatherhead.
I don't care that Karai tried to stopped the Shredder from murdering the Turtles. She STILL stabbed Leo. I can totally see her being the new Shredder. I still don't trust her at all.
Bishop wasn't in this episode a whole lot and I was so disappointed he did no fighting.
I was wondering how the Turtles could POSSIBLY escape from the ship but honestly, having the Utroms save the day made sense story-wise. I'm still bummed they didn't actually kill off Shredder. I don't expect to ever see him back and I think it was a terrible punishment, but after all that a more definative fate would have been much more satisfying.
I liked it, but again, it WAS kind of a let-down. ****.

Hmmm, I forgot about Hun and Leatherhead.
Yeah, Shredder not really dying kind of bummed the episode, but it was still highly enjoyable.
I would love to see Karai take over the Foot Clan and still use them against the Turtles. It does seem to be heading that way, we'll see next season.
Although I still don't believe that this is "the final" fate of the Shredder. He'll be back. Most likely towards the end of Season 4. It shouldn't be that hard for Karai and the Foot to track down the ice ring that the Shredder is trapped on, especially since she was there when she heard where he would be sent.
As for Karai being the new Shredder, there's no reason for her to start wearing Shredder-esque armor. Even though one of the comic series had Karai in a Shredder outfit (with a breastplate), it would be kind of lame to see it like that in the show.
Well...I'd love to see how the Worms of Madness adapatation is going to work now with a very much alive Shredder...
...He'll probably come back in the Technodrome![]()
> And did anyone else notice how Stockman's "Nah Ah Ah" computer program thing resembled the one form the first "Jurassic Park" movie? <
Oh, yes. And I noticed Bishop's line to Stockman was a variation on what Rick said to Louie in 'Casablanca': "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
Nice to finally learn the Red Utrom's real name, and his original crimes. Kinna disappointing to see the Turtles & Splinter rebounding so quickly from what looked to be near-fatal injuries (and no blood in sight! Leo should've had at least a *bit* of red marking his wound.)
On the plus side, that is a good dramatic scene when they decide their only remaining option is to blow up the ship, and themselves. Consequently it does feel like rather a cheat when the Utrom cavalry rescues them at the last second- but we knew something like that *had* to happen, since this series has been renewed for another season. And I don't imagine anyone here is unhappy about that.
Now, where can one place bets on whether or not Shredder will find a way off that icy asteroid?
The Shredder survivng had to have been a decision made from above the development team, as Laird was determined to finish him off, obviously 4kids have no faifth the series can continue without The Shredder's involvment

Actually, it's been said that inventions of the old series, like the Technodrome, won't be showing up here.
Which is a shame. I miss the Technodrome.
It was a joke.Originally Posted by Nobody You Know

Opinions. By nature, none and all are right.
