    Best "South Park" Christmas Episode

    Like This Thread!
Inspired by the "Simpsons" Xmas thread, I decided to one with "South Park."

Anyway, I decided to go with "It's Christmas in Canada" primarily because I loved the Wizard of Oz parody.

Others I enjoyed were "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" and "Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson."

Had to go with Mr. Hanky's Xmas Classics. Face it, how are you going to top an Xmas episode that:

    1. spoofs the Star Wars Holiday Special (more specifically, the bootleg tape w/ commercials that is in circulation).
    2. features a song called "Merry ****in' Christmas".

    Blood orgy!

I always found Mr. Hanky to be overrated.

Though it just came out, I'm gonna have to say "Woodland Critter Christmas" just because the concept was so well executed. It also gives hope after a disappointing season/block of episodes/whatever.
It recently dawned on me that my signature could be interpreted as being said by me. For the record, this was not the case. If the previous signature reduced your opinion of me, please increase your opinion. Thank you.

RED SLEIGH DOWN is one of the greatest episodes ever. Compounded by the fact that it marked Kenny's triumphant return after that season of Kenny-less screwing around.

Either Christmas in Canada or Woodland Critter Christmas. Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics is a good one too...

Maybe because it's freshest in my mind, but Woodland Critter Christmas was perfect the whole way through.

I enjoyed "Christmas in Canada", especially since they managed to quickly add in the Sadaam ending. And it had a LOL line: "Oh that's just Tom. He's a dick!"

"Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" is a second because of the funny songs. My personal favorite is the opening with the guy singing while sitting on the toilet: "And sometimes you're crapping and there's a piece that's stuck to your sphincter and you push to let it go and it finally DOES!!!!!"

Never seen "Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson" or "Woodland Critter Christmas", though.

I'm kinda surprised at being the first vote for "A Very Crappy Christmas." Between Mr. Hanky's perpetually-drunk wife Autumn, the spot-on Lion King musical number parody, the flip-siding of the standard anti-commercialism theme, the parodizing of the classic Christmas special with the mice (I think it was called "'Twas the Night Before Christmas"), working in clips from the "Spirit of Christmas" short, Butters' short scene, etc. etc. etc....
Well, I thought it was aces all around. Not that it wasn't a tough decision, you understand-- I don't think they've ever really done a bad Christmas special, and this year's was a close second.

I've liked all the South Park Christmas episodes I've seen (haven't seen Red Sleigh Down),but I'd have to go with "Woodland Critter Christmas"....I was laughing almost constantly during the episode, and I loved the reference to "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe",and the ending...

Woodland Critter Christmas was so funny! Praise Satan! LOL!

    Mr. Hankey's X-Mas Classics at a close 2nd.

Mr Hankey the Christmas Crew bringing up number 3.

I love the Christmas specials! They're hilarious!

I agree with Mynd, there is no bad South Park Christmas episode.

However, my personal favorite is Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics ("Courtney Cox / I love you / you're so hot / on that show"). It's fun all around.

Plotwise, "A Very Crappy Christmas" and "Woodland Creatures" were probably my favorites.

It was close, but I voted for Red Sliegh Down. What put it over the top was the ending. Any modern Christmas story who's moral is that Christmas is about thanking Jesus deserves to be the best in my book. (Regardless of how they got to that message. )

Honerable mentions go to Woodland Critter Christmas and the Mr. Hankey's Holiday Classics. The songs in that one were just...Well, I still find myself humming them occassionally.
Nobody likes having to rise to a challenge, but competing against other people and getting in thier face to say 'ha-ha I'm better than you' is a part of life sometimes!

My responce was late due to me not watching Woodland Creatures. After viewing it from tonight's marathon, that became my personal favorite.

To be honest that is the best thing about South Park. Even if they have a horrible season, the Chirstmas specials always make up for it.

That song alone puts the episode as one of my favorite South Park episodes.

Red Sleigh Down by far. Not only is it my favorite Christmas episodes, but one of my favorite episodes period. I always love the controversial episodes. "My brothers, I must tell you something.... I'm packin!"

There will never be another "Arrested Development."

Since Jesus is my favorite South Park character, I had to go with Red Sleigh Down.

It's tough. I love almost all of the Southpark Christmas episodes. I don't know which one it is, but it's the one where they're trying to put on the Christmas play at school but the episode pokes fun at all of the people getting offended by all the different holidays. I thought that was hilarious, especially at the end where Kenny doesn't die, and he sort of goes "Woohoo!". I also love the Christmas Classics episode. The Dradle song was hilarious! I thought the beginning of "Christmas time in (ya know)" was pretty funny... Hitler crying singing the Christmas tree song. Haha! And Stan's big sister's number was pretty good, too. The Santa/Jesus song kind of bothered me, but oh I love Cartman's rendition of "Oh Holy Night". That was hilarious!

That would be "Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo."
