Wel, I was wrong. When I reported last week's b/o I said Pearl Harbor was sure to make $100 million, but it didn't, and with a 3 hour length{why it's that long I have no idea} it was mathmatically impossible. Plus, it seems like Shrek was the winner this week, surprising the industry by making $54 million, it's now almost a guarantee it will make $200 million. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually gained on Pearl Harbor next week, since now word of mouth is certain to spread that it's not as good as people would think{though with peoples desire to see things blown up for 40 minutes I doubt it}and I doubt the two comedies opening this week starring Martin Lawrence and Danny DeVito in one and Rob Schieder in the other will do much against the top two films.

I predict the ROB SCHNEIDER movie wil gross about $9 mill in it's opening weekend, and the Martin lawrence flick will get about $15 mill. SHREK will get another $35 - 40 mill, while PEARL HARBOR wil get $45. THE MUMMY will gross another $15 mill, bringing it's gross up to $190 mill.

    Rob Schieder's the Animal

Rob Schieder's new movie looks stupid, lame, idiotic, and downright unappealing, just another low brow comedy. I am sure it will do very well in the theater.

Maybe not... Tom Green's "movie" went down in flames, so there's hope.

Don't forget that " The Animal" is also the first movie appearance of a Survivor contestant. So there's another reason to hope it doesn't do well. Or else we'll be getting piles of Survivor vehicles on the big screen.

I'm surprised there haven't been any cameos of the "Survivor" cast on the "Simpsons" yet....they must be the only people they haven't used as cameo-material (besides the entire population of East Moline, Illinois ;-)

    Survivor

Seems every other day Howard Stern has a guest from Survivor on his show...they're stars because they lived on bugs and berries for a few weeks on an island. Though I must admit some of the female contestants are attractive (once they've been hosed down and allowed to put on makeup, anyway...)
On Tom Green: is it my imagination or is he just the Canadian Chris Elliot?

Well, I dunno; does the mere sight of Green make you want to do greivous bodily harm to him? 'Cause that's the effect Elliott has on me, I'm ashamed to say. And to think he's the son of 1/2 of one of the great radio comedy teams in history.

And 'gross' is the word for it.
