    Funniest show on Toonami/SVES?

    Like This Thread!
Pick what you think is the funniest show on either Toonami or SVES or both. My vote goes to Knights of the Zodiac.

Intentionally funny: ReBoot, PPG, Yu Yu, Tenchi, Zoids Zero, and Dragon Ball.

Unintentionally funny: Yu-Gi-Oh, Ronin Warriors, Sailor Moon, and the moments that aren't "OH MOMMY IT HURTS MAKE THE BAD ACTING AND DIALOGUE DIE RIGHT NOW", yet still funny, in SD Gundam.

Yu-Yu Hakusho. Its sense of humor is, to me, what separates it most from Dragonball Z. That and the overall more down-to-earth feel of the characters and storyline. There's a lot of humorously self-aware and smart dialogue. And there's Koenma's comment about wishing he could be a wind mage so he could get "free air conditioning." I don't know why, but that struck me as one of the most brilliant lines ever.

To me: it's a tie between YuYu Hakusho and DragonBall.

YuYu has some hilarious moments and some great characters like Kuwabara who's interaction with serious guys like Hiei bring up some funny times.

I'd say DragonBall pre - King Piccolo saga. Once it got there, it just seemed like the humor got put aside for action. The fun stuff was before, like all the scenes with Roshi and his pervness. Or Goku and him not entirely understanding what people meant early on in the series. The turtle and Oolong added humor throughout the series. The humor of DB is something I'll remember about the series..

Oh come on people! TEEN TITANS

Still I'm gonna have to say the shows that made me laugh the most were likely Tenchi Muyo (because love does stink), Rurouni Kenshin (Oro?), Dragonball (ah Goku... you're not too bright), Dragonball Z (bad dub lines are teh suck), and Reboot (parodies and some just plain good comedy).

As far as Toonami goes, I would say SD Gundam is a good action/comedy blend. Plus, more shows should have a "Zako Zako Hour." Can you imagine Koenma Jr. and the Demon Players Theatre after Yu Yu Hakusho?

I was thinking George (if I'm remembering the name of Koenma Jr.'s assistant correctly) and others like him.

Could be pretty funny with other demons though also.

My picks are all from Toonami:

Tenchi Muyo (though I originally saw it on Adult Swim.) Tenchi reminded me of Ray Romano for a while and I liked this show's wackiness more than FLCL's.

The Powerpuff Girls: Just about every character is funny, even when things may not look so good for Townsville ("It's doing cheese?"). I also like how they don't insult the audience when something out of the ordinary happens (i.e. the narrator's comments.)

Dragonball Z: Chi Chi's overprotection, Yajirobe's cowardice, Master Roshi's horniness, The Ginyu Force, and much more including lines that may or may not be intentionally funny (admit it, some of you like the bad lines.) Like PPG, it happens inbetween the action when you least expect it.

It's hard to pick which is the funniest but I'll go ahead and say DBZ for now since the comedy is so unexpected and random (I would say Dragonball, but I've never seen it. The first manga issue was hilarious though.)

    Re: Funniest show on Toonami/SVES?

I would have to say Zoids Zero is the winner. Plus there was a lot of comedy on shows like Sailor Moon, Tenchi, Dragonball, Yu Yu Hakasho, Rurouni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, Hamtaro, and SD Gundam.

SD Gundam, for sure. I heart the Zako Zako Hours.
My favorite one is where they try to write their names like a Musha Gundam and instead of Zako they spell Taco, then Waffles, then Pizza. :anime:

That is the funniest YGO parody I've seen, and I even watch the show & play the card game.
