    The Inbetween

I decided to put this topic here because I felt it would be more comfortable here(I guess it's the background or something)but anyway I was just wondering how you would set up a block that showed mature shows, just not enough to be on Adult Swim and just enough to give Toonami a hard time. Here is how I'd set it up:

    8:00-Rurouni Kenshin
    8:30-Arc the Lad
    9:00-Naruto
    9:30-Generator Gawl

    and then......

    10:00-ADULT SWIM

Re: The Inbetween Moving Toonami Into Primetime

Moving Toonami into the primtime viewing spot could give it the much needed boost, for it needs to succeed in better ratings and getting more viewers into watching the block.

Think about it, a lot of preteens and teens do after school activities such as clubs, sports, homework, working at a job maybe, and having dinner. Most of this time devoted to after school activities is usually from 2:30PM-6:30PM, when Cartoon Cartoon Afternoons, Totally Spies, and Toonami is on. People usually have more free time in the evenings than they do in the afternoons. Most of my TV viewing lately has been in the evenings.

Could Toonami improved if it were in the primetime TV viewing spots between 7:00PM-11:00PM?

A lot of kids do have evening activities, but after school is still considered a prime slot and has been for quite awhile. Historically this has been when the weekday blocks aired. Fox Kids, Kids WB, The Disney Afternoon, etc. are or were all on in the afternoons. Once you get into the evenings you are competing against primetime programming. While Primetime does target more the 18-49 demographic, a lot of kids still watch. Toonami is actually on slightly later than most afternoon block traditionally have been and thus the highest rated thing on TV during that slot is the evening news. Toonami provides a sharp contrast and distinct viewing alternative.

I like Otaku's choice only I'd switch in Dragonball instead of Zoids. No offense to Zoids but we'll always have some kind of Dragonball on Toonami.
