Anyway, onto the episode. Piccolo manages to take out Goku, but like Tambourine makes the mistake of thinking the "monkey child" is dead and moves on. Looks like Goku's going to Korin Tower again. For more training and probably a senzu bean or two. Meanwhile, Master Roshi has knocked out Tien and is prepared to take on Piccolo himself. How will he do that you ask. Tommorow will tell you. A pretty good episode but probably one of the lower episodes from the week if what I heard is true. A-

Good episode. Looks like Yajirobe gonna go with Goku to Korin Tower, a place he becomes familiar with in DBZ..

Pretty good episode for some reason I thought it was really funny when Roshi called Piccolo a manical monster or some such. Also when Yajirobe and Goku were suddenly in a car I was thinking he had to steal that. Then he says to Goku I stole this car.

That bit about stealing the car was edited. In the uncut, he just says he stole the car. In the edited version, he says he stole the car, but then quickly adds in "Just kidding. Heh heh."

No, it's the same in the sub. Roshi tells Tenshinhan that he drank from the Fountain of Life, so he can't die. But after he knocks Tenshinhan out, he admits that the "Fountain of Life" doesn't really exist.

I really liked this episode. It's a pretty good in-betweener/aftermath episode that shows Goku's resilance and Roshi's wisdom. I take it we'll see Kami by next week.

If I remember correctly from the fan-sub I saw, Goku has to fight Mr. Popo and Mr. Popo is very fast.

The Failure Of The Master And The Summoning Of The Dragon in the "Roshi's Gambit" Dragonball Episode Review.

This was a great episode. I had heard about Roshi using the "Evil Containment Wave" to stop King Piccolo, but failing because he missed? That's gotta be bad for you're consicence. And because of using it, he's dead and now Piccolo's about to get his wish from the Eternal Dragon. Not much else to say here, other then this was an A episode.

You know what the guys should have done? They should have left the Dragon Ball's there, let Picollo summon the dragon, and then run out and make their wish first. It worked for Oolong when the Pilaf summoned the Dragon after all.

Another great DB episode. I was waiting for Roshi to unleash his awesome skillz.. but he took a beating, but just like Goku he was still there. And then whipping out the evil containment technique was awesome. I did not expect that at all. He almost pulled it off too. If he was gonna fail, it would be by missing the pot.. typical Roshi.. That was the most anti-climatic moment. It's like yes, he's doing it! and then that happens and you realize it's Master Roshi..
Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

Yeah but King Piccolo is far more aware of his surroundings then Pilaf is. Plus his "demon" ears would have heard them coming up and he would have been like "Fool! Don't get in my way of gaining back eternal youth!" and blasted them into dust or something like that.
