    Old Toonami Tape

    Like This Thread!
Okay, so my friend taped The Animatrix off of PPV and let me borrow it. At the end of it I fast-forwarded it and it went into two post-AS eps. of Space Ghost. I continued watching and it cut into stuff from Toonami from years ago. Imagine that. Anyhow, I jotted down what was on it and was wondering if anyone could tell me from when this stuff was from, etc.

    Midnight Run Commercial:
    12 - Dragonball Z
    12.5 - Big O

*cut into Dragonball Z: "Faith in a boy"* (a cell ep which I had never seen by the way)

ATV Offroad Fury review by TOM2

Big O "Recipe" promo (you know, one part batman, one part bond, one part giant city-smashing robots)

    "World's Strongest" promo (Friday @ 5)

    Line-up:
    4 - Sailor Moon
    4.5 - Gundam Wing
    5 - Dragonball Z
    5.5 - Big O
    6 - Tenchi In Tokyo
    6.5 - Superman

    *cut into Blue Sub 6*

(During this "cut" the Absolutions engines are smoking during promos, etc.)

"Endless Waltz" promo (Friday @ 5)

    **Line-up:
    4 - Reboot
    4.5 - Sailor Moon
    5 - Dragonball Z
    5.5 - Gundam Wing
    6 - Blue Sub 6

Rising Sun promo (Saturdays @ 10 AM)

"Endless Waltz" promo (Friday @ 5) "Suit up!...again"

After "Later" it says "That's all for Blue Sub 6, The Powerpuff Girls are next" Wow, they actually used to give bumpers for filler

*cut into "All New" Cardcaptors on WB*
    Shows on WB then:
    Men In Black (?)
    Static Shock (new)
    Pokemon: The Johto Journies (new)
    X-Men: Evolution (new)
    Batman Beyond (new)
    Max Steel (new)
    Jackie Chan (?)
    Cardcaptors (new)

*cuts to Tenchi In Tokyo TOM1/Sara Era after CCS ep*

    *Absolution's engines smoking really bad*
"Toonami needs Your Help! Choose a new engine fro the Absolution and maybe win a trip to "The Birthplace of Anime", Japan! Watch Toonami all next week and call in toll free" - commercial

    Line-up: 4-7
    4 - ?
    4.5 - ?
    5 - Dragonball Z
    5.5 - Gundam Wing
    6 - Tenchi In Tokyo
    6.5 - Batman

*cut into Midnight Run w/ "The Pipes" Intro*

    Line-up
    12 - Gundam Wing
    12.5 - Dragonball Z

    *Space is the Place video*

    *"new engine" commercial*

*cut into Sailor Moon on Rising Sun*

    Line-up:
    10 - ?
    10.5 - ?
    11 - Sailor Moon
    11.5 - Tenchi Universe
    12 - Dragonball Z
    12.5 - The Powerpuff Girls
(I'm pretty sure I saw a clip of Thundercats)

"Blue Sub 6" promo (Starts Monday, November 6 @ 6)

**Maybe that coincides with the earlier line-up

    :anime:

Dude, that's not old. My brother has Moltar on his tape... MOLTAR! (btw, the First Toonami-made ReBoot opening [which TDA doesn't have] is on there[I never tire of hearing it]) Anyway, I'd like to have that tape for some reasons(After "Later" it says "That's all for Blue Sub 6, The Powerpuff Girls are next")

Most of those were from 2000, anyway. Boy, you sure don't know Toonami.

And yes, I collect Toonami bumpers, and I think TDA should too.

I don't collect bumpers, and I think that adding them to TDA would triple the amount of clips to sort through, and would be "noise" to the rest of TDA's "signal".

Yeah, that wasn't exactly from 2000. Granted Tenchi in Tokyo (T.I.T.... :| ) was on in 2000, this was during the time that they were re-running it again. Blue Sub was last shown about 1.5-2 years ago, so it was prolly closer to Summer/Fall of 2001.

Years ago? Try three years ago, maybe not even. I have FOUR tapes of 1997 Toonami. (They used to have the coolest OP. it had scenes from Robotench and other anime in widescreen)

Seems like the September 2000 lineup... Thus, Sailor Moon would've been on at 4:30 because I remember watching the last few minutes so I wouldn't miss DBZ, and Reboot was probably on at 4.
