    CN UK's Japanese month?

    Like This Thread!
CN UK's advertising that October is a Japanese month for them.So what are we getting in terms of anime? ONE new series, Tenchi In Tokyo. Come on CN, throw us a bone. We're still waiting for Gundam Wing:Endless Waltz. They could show that to end the month.
And is Tenchi In Tokyo any good? I've heard it's the worst of the 3 series

    Tenchi iT.

Please tell me you people at least got the OVA and Universe first.

Edit: Tenchi iT is ok, nice to see if you're Tenchi fan. However most people don't bother to watch it more than once, myself included.

Yep, Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi Universe were both shown (around February-March if I remember).

Glad to hear that, if you hadn't gotten the other two before TiT, I'd say all of you in the UK were getting screwed.

I also hope you guys get Endless Waltz soon, it's a very nice conclusion to GW, the animation is top notch, and the mech designs are awesome. It does take the whole pacifism message and beats it into your head with a big stick though.

So what exactly have you gotten on Toonami UK so far?

DragonBall Z, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Batman of the Future (aka Batman Beyond) and X-Men Evolution

Toonami UK is more a mix of action cartoons then just anime

Fox Kids has Sailor Moon and Nickelodeon has Cardcaptors

And that's a good thing. People over here seem to forget that for much of it's history Toonami was (and still is) about action cartoons. It's just that right now with it's all anime (action anime, but still all anime) line up I've seen people pop up all over the place listing shows that they think should be on Toonami because said show was made in Japan. Never mind the fact that it has little or no action content.

And I've been meaning to ask this for awhile Blight Man, but where did you get that nifty avatar?

My avatar? Well, a few months ago, whilst looking at the Planet Namek forums ( http://www.planetnamek.com http://forum.planetnamek.com ) I found that Super Saiya-jin smilie in someone's sig. I liked it, so I saved it. I have no idea who created it.

Actually, I think Tenchi in Tokyo is more enjoyable if you HAVEN'T seen the other Tenchi series. The people who complain about Tenchi in Tokyo the most are usually too used to the more traditional Tenchi formats, hence the complaints.

TiT has its moments, but it's kinda just...there.

Heh, yeah ONLY if you haven't seen the others. I swear, I completely hated that show (Besides the fact it was weird). I think Tenchi Muyo! and Universe were pretty good though.
