WHOA. O.O HOLY CRAP, THAT WAS REALLY COOL SOUNDING.
I don't think I could EVER come up with anything that good. ;.;
Okay, we all know something's going to happen to TOM and the Absolution. What would you love to see happen?
My idea-
At the beginning of Giant Robot Week, TOM arrives at Earth, and downloads the shows (From the Navigation room featured in Lockdown). Problem is, they're too hardware-intensive (Too much RAM or something, I dunno. The fact that they're uncut messes up the memory?). TOM, being the tech guy he is, plays them anyway. All shots of shows on the Absolution screens get a little fuzzy, and there's an occasional shot of the Reactor getting a little overheated, spinning too fast, etc.
Tuesday through Friday, different intro. TOM's not flying around, he's sitting at his chair, just waiting to start the block. Sara gives the okay, TOM presses the button, the block starts.
Friday, right before "Later", Sara tells TOM to go fix the Reactor, it's overclocked and not looking too good. TOM goes down there...
Boom.
Reactor blows. For humor, we get to see pipes bust first. It takes out the back half of the Absolution (Talon ST engines, docking bays, etc.), only leaving the front half of the Absolution (Control Room and the 6-screen Room, and maybe the navigation room) somewhat together. We hear Sara yell "Tom? TOM!" and she fizzes offline.
"Later?"
(For some reason, I haven't really thought of The Iron Giant as actually being a part of Giant Robot Week, since there's that space of time between it and Toonami. If it is... um.... no TOM going to Lightspeed for it. Maybe the navigation projector projects it up on a flat piece of metal, like a drive in)
The next week, Toonami isn't itself.
All shots of the Absolution are just... shots of debris. Various DOKs, Clyde 50s, the Giant Robot from the docking bay, whatever WS throws in there. No TOM2 flying outside. No Sara booting up.
At the beginning of a show, DBZ for example...
Zoom in on the remains of the control room. TOM's chair shot outside the broken glass. The main screens are all fuzzy, blinking on and off. Zoom in on a screen. "Opening File DBZ.mov" command shows up, Babidi says his thing on a fuzzy screen, and then cut to pure show footage. For the title card, show the scratchy logo we've seen recently.
Bumpers? The 6 screens are floating in space, no longer together, all cracked. They still show the same footage, just seperated. No VA saying "Dragonball Z will be right back".
Promos? At a bare minimum. No more of TOM reviewing Lord of the Rings, or Sara describing the Batsuit. The only commercials are the Peter Cullen promos, most likely just for Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, and new Dragonball Z. Those can exist without Toonami.
For this week, Toonami is dead.
The next week, we see the new ship float up to the remains. Sara had sent a distress signal, and it was answered by this unknown ship from Ghost Planet Industries. With her reformatted interface, Sara sends out a signal, activating the few remaining DOKs and Clyde 50s. They start bringing in crates (of tapes, naturally) and a few momentos (The Toonami plaque saying "Authentic Action Animation Since 1997" [The "6" is scratched out], a TOM jetpack, etc.). Sara pesonally takes over a DOK, sending it to look for the back-up TOMs.
Remember them? When TOM1 was destroyed, Sara brought out another TOM. They were all in pods. We'll say, for the sake of story, that the room was the most reinforced room on the Absolution. She activates TOM3, who, using a jetpack, flies into their new home.
Status Check. TOM3 talks with Sara about what's gone on. Apparently, when the reactor blew, it sent out a sporadic EMP, destroying the tapes of Batman Beyond, Zoids: Chaotic Century, and Dragonball; they'll have to redownload them again. Also, it corrupted some files, explaining the loss of the third hour, Super Saturdays, and Sara's reformat. With the loss of Super Saturdays, Sara got Moltar to boot up an alternate block ("Saturday Video Entertainment System"). Sara's distress signal called for emergency programming, thereby explaining Yu Yu Hakusho. The ship came from Ghost Planet. TOM3 and Sara christen the ship "Absolution Mark II", and set off, leaving Earth. As they fly off, TOM asks "Hey, what happened to my chair? Where am I going to sit?" as "A New Horizon" shows up on the screen.
A few weeks later, TOM3 gets a mysterious file. He opens it, and we see reflections of the screen in his visor, showing off a glimpse at Toonami shows of the year.

too bad Williams Street probaly wont either =/
That's very cool. I was thinking something along the lines of the Blob from the Intruder returning and blowing up half of the ship, myself, but who knows? ^ ^

Sounds cool to me, but I doubt they will do it. (but then, a lot of GRW stuff does sound rather intensive to the normal Toonami viewer)
StrangerAtaru: Just another one of those weirdo lurker guys with a screwed up mind and a Zako army at his command
Wow, that was really good. How long did it take you to come up with that?![]()

That sounds awesome, but unlikely.

WOW. That was awesome. Well I doubt I could top that but here I go:
Giant Robot Week
It starts off with TOM2 getting out the tapes sent to the Absolution, TOM2 then notices that there is strangely one more tape that he didn't notice before. We then hear Sara calling TOM2 to get to the hull and start GRW. TOM2 then drops the tape and back into the tape holder thing, or what ever the thing is. GRW week goes off without anything going wrong, nothing at all. At the very end of it TOM2 remebers the last tape, he rushes back to get it and comes back and tells Sara about it and pops it in to see what it was. When they tape starts there's only fuzz coming on the screen when bam! A single message appears on the screen: DELETED! A huge explosion the rips through the ship damaging most of the stuff. TOM2 then tells Sara he's going to go and try to save the tapes and flys off. Another explosion accurs and it seems that another TOM has gone down the hole. (Dead) Sara the sends a distress call to Ghost Planet and our man Moltar picks it up. Sara explains what happens and Moltar is going to take over for the week. Moltar then tells that a new ship would be down in a week or two and that they would also send a backup file for TOM so they can insert it into TOM3. Sar then signs off and Moltar takes over for a week.
The next two weeks Moltar host and then on March 17 the ship arrives TOM3 takes over is Sara is still safe. We see Moltar then signing off and TOM3 starting Toonami. I also think they should continue whatever destroyed the original Absolution in the next event thing. (The name escapes me)

Also it could lead up to another good Tooanmi event. Also it would have Moltar back. You all know we need some Moltar goodness every once and a while.

The currently listed ideas all sound really good... I'm planning to make one when I'm not so busy, but I plan to involve that giant robot we got a glimpse in the docking bay during the Intruder(I think) somehow.
I never did see that robot, other than the screenshot up on TDA

What I want to see in the new look.
It should premiere with one new music video, and one new game review.
Tom 3 should give out the schedule. Like Moltar did.
Random bumpers like what Tom does in the ship should NOT be restricted to the Total Immersion events. Show some bumpers of what they do in their spare time.
If they're going to reuse music all the time, at least reuse some of the OLD ones.
From what i saw from the trapped in hyperspace "Brought to you by" They did show some new footage of the control center where the data screens are.
I have a feeling that March 14th will be the last day we see a BUNCH of stuff, unless the change occurs even earlier. Essentially, if you want to see some shots of Absolution, TOM, etc.... this might be the last week.

Dude . . . I couldn't have thought of anything better than that premise, and I doubt anybody else could either.
Kind of wondering if Williams Street would even create something that eyecatching to implement the changes . . .
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.
