Ranma 1/2 will never be on Toonami. It's better suited for ASA instead.
Ranma 1/2 add
(show Tom sitting down in his chair)
TOM: Toonami presents the story of a boy, a girl, and a martial arts master... And they're all the same person!
(show clips)
TOM: Everyone wants a piece of Ranma Satome or his not so better half. With suitors of both the female and um... male persuasion, he's definentially got his hands full. What's a half boy, half girl to do?
Announcer: Ranma 1/2 weekdays at 6:30

Only Toonami!
That would be sweet, but Ranma would never be on Toonami without some serious editing and a ton of digital bathing suits added, and tons of Otakus would get pissed about the editing and such. Really to much hassel, but it would be an interesting move on CN's part. I suppose it's really more AS material if even that.

Isn't Ranma 1/2 a kids show?
It'll never be on CN. Ever.
No, it's just plain weird.
I don't even think it would be on ASA it's just too wierd for American TV. I think it's over rated myself I watched the first season that I borrowed from my friend. I just could see the big deal. I've seen funnier animes.

Like everyone before me said, Ranma 1/2 would never air on Toonami. I doubt it would air on Adult Swim as well. The animated Ranma is good, but not nearly half as good as the manga.

It was just a show for both girls and boys. It was very similar to Love Hina. The girls get a love story and boys get perverted slapstick humor.
I hate perverted slapstick humor........to an extent. I just don't think fully naked people and someone who's obsessed with underpants are funny and always seems like a last resort.Originally posted by Charred Knight

Personally, I think that the Ranma anime is funny and I do own 15 volumes of the manga. But while I still love the many maniac characters who exist in this world (Ryoga, Shampoo and Ukyo primarily, with some good things from panda Genma), I think that it gets somewhat tiring to see the whole overemphasis on the Ranma/Akane situation. While it worked in the beginning (including in my favorite arc, the Martial Arts Figure Skating Tournament), it just gets a little too forced down a lot later on. As for Toonami, no way. ASA, maybe, but only if they are forced to edit the nudity Takahashi loves to put in every once in a while.

Couldn't they just pull a Tenchi and introduce the Digital Bikini ?Originally posted by StrangerAtaru

The reason why they probably wouldn't do that is for one Ranma is a boy, therefore he doesn't wear bras or bikinis. But then when he gets hit by cold water with his shirt off, its going to be kind of strange to see him with one of those bikinis on. Because that would imply that while he is in his boy form he would be wearing a bra, and to many that would be perverse. Just how would soccer Mom's feel about that?Originally posted by Chris Sanders MSX

The martial arts figure skating is the best! Its about frickin time figure skaters were looked upon as tough competitors. It has inspired me to find a martial arts pair myself(ok not really, but it would be cool if I could. Martial arts figure skating just sounds like a bad idea.).

We should do a fake Toonami ad thread. Even for shows that are completely inappropriate for Toonami!
