Well, one.... Akira Toriyama's kids liked Japanese Power Rangers, so he thought he'd put a little bit of that into his manga. He doesn't get it tho, so Great Saiyaman was to for him, make fun of Sentai, and for his kids, for them to like DBZ.

So, he made Gohan into a super hero.

Storywise, Gohan and his family like their private lives and don't want to be hounded by the press or be famous like Mr. Satan.

Ha, Uh I was going to go right on ahead and wonder right along with Spike. I mean if I had those kind of powers, I'd be such a show off. i eman come on, Your the strongest guy in school, nobody's going to screw with you.

You can fly. Think how many girls ask for rides when you have a car. Now apply to this to being able to fly and being strong enough to carry more than one girl. Who wants to ride in a car when you can fly faster the light ?

Your going to get picked first for every game, your could be captain of every sports team and basicly what I'm saying is, as a teenager there's very little of a downside to it.

I think that Goku's family as a whole wanted to keep their powers private, expecially after Goku's death.

why do you think they let hercule get the credit for defeating cell??? hercule is hounded day and night....goku's family did not want to put up with that...that and they would be considered freaks and people may even associate them with the superpowered villains..I mean, just years ago, vegeta was terrerizing them

well gohan wouldnt have to show of all of his powers. For instance he could be the fastest runner, or do some iverson moves while playing basketball, stuff like that.
