It didn't show him getting off planet during the Frieza saga. Next thing I know he's on that other alien planet learning instant transmission then comes to earth to meet future Trunks. What happened after the planet exploded and before he ended up with the other aliens?

Free the Water Tower 3!
Well, during the end of Season 3 he's definately still alive. They bring the Dragonballs together and try to wish Goku back to life, and the dragon says he can't bring someone back who isn't dead. So Goku's alive. And then they try to wish him to earth, but he doesn't want to go back yet, so he's still out in space.
I believe the episode where Goku comes back is the one where they explain how he escaped the explosion. Needless to say, he was | | that close.
Well, orignaly he was going to die on that planet, and then the show would focus on Gohan. But people didn't want that, so Toriyama came up with a way out for him, and that was he took Gaptain Ginyu's space pod and got off the planet in time for him to get away.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks. Though it would have a better way to go than being blown up by Cell.Originally posted by Jowy Blight

Yeah, and Dragonball starts next Monday on CN. Too bad most of the humor will be cut out.
