I apologize for posting this here. However, I know that most of Jeff's supporters come here and I thought you may like to see the end results of my investigation into the matter. This has also been posted on the old RevBoards.



The Mess, Jeff, JC, and Weatherman...


Jeff Harris

EzMellisa, from the EZ Board Help Forums, has e-mailed me back to tell me that the IPs I supplied her for Jeff do not match the IP address of the individual who destroyed the old RevBoards. Mellisa would not show me the IP address but she told me that the person's IP was based in Rhode Island and this person is a Charter.net cable user. Jeff lives in Virginia, about 3 hours from me.

EzMelissa is an EZ Board network admin who can view the admin area and logfiles of any EZ Board at any time so she would actually have access to this information.


Weatherman

Weatherman is famous for 'conjecture'. He assumes many things and his assumptions are usually incorrect and inappropriate. This is why people get angry with him and this is what has led to his undoing on the RevBoards. I believe this statement is true based soley on what I know of him; he's just admitted to making a bad assumption. Classic Weatherman all the way!


JC (John Crichton)

JC had been talking about leaving the RevBoards for a long time now; for months, actually. He got tired of fighting with people. He got tired of having his character attacked by certain users. In the end, he all but said, if they aren't forced out, I'm leaving. Most of what was said was in a private correspondence between JC and myself. This is why I never spoke about it until now. Just a few days ago, JC gave me permission to post about this here so that his name would be cleared of any wrongdoing in this matter.


THE LESSON:

Don't make your passwords easy to figure out and change your passwords at least once a month.

Melissa told me that Jeff wasn't 'hacked'. Hacking implies gained entry into a private area through illegal means. It's likely that his password was figured out by someome because he had an easy password to figure out. He had also left his account dormant for a long time. If he had checked it, he may have found things had changed in it - his settings, for example. that may have sent a signal long before this happened. Jeff is permanantly locked out of his account.

I apologized for what happened. Now if you are unable to accept that then its your problem. Leave it somewhere else.

Arguing if I was a racist or not with "prominent" members was just a waste of time and energy tho. That's not why I come to the internet.
