    G-Gundam Models

    Like This Thread!
Well, I saw the first G-Gundam models in my local Target today... and I'm not impressed. Some of the 1/100 models look allright, but most of the 1/144 are... how shall I say... Crappy. Anyone buy any of the kits yet?

I have the 1/100 Shining Gundam. It's pretty good

I especially like how Bandai managed to create pieces that use multiple colors. Though I really hate how the HG models stopped using metallic paint (gold and silver) after the normal Gundam Wing line.

The UC 1/144 models hold up pretty well, though. For G, only get the 1/100

Well, if the G Gundam models are anything like the Wing models, then the 1/144s are pretty cheap. I have the Deathscythe model and one of the feet was made crooked, so the model falls over sometimes. However, I have found the UC models to be better and I especially like the GP01 model. Has anyone seen the GP02 model in stores? I havent seen it yet.

Haven't seen it. Of all the ones I've seen, my crown jewel is my 1/60 PG Zeta Gundam. Only $150 at import.

I (unfortunately) haven't seen ANY 0083 models in stores. But I do want the H.G. GP-01 kit.

Know this- like the Wing kits, the G kits were made at that time the show was airing in Japan. HGUC are models made in the last 2-3 years.
I have 1/144 1-10 and they're ok kits. The one thing that annoys me is that God Gundam (or Burning as it will be for the dub), Rising Gundam and Shining Gundam are the only ones to have waist articulation

I have the 1/100 Death Scythe and it's pretty good. I also have the 1/144th Custom Gouf that Norris used in 08th MS Team from HG as well as the 1/144th Zaku III from.... well I dunno off the top of my head. I personally prefer the 1/144th scale because I'm the kind of guy that like to spend hours filing the little plastic nubs off the pieces and such, and I found the 1/144th to give me a better end product than the 1/100th models I have or have seen.

All of my models stand up pretty good on their own, I even worked out a whole design for my anime collection (yes, I'm that much of an otaku) I arrange all my manga, videos, models, ect ect in like one huge diorama. A true viewing pleasure.
