Okay obviously my super paranoria for this episode is even worse then any episode that I've talkbacked about so far. So much in fact this whole thread is practically in spoiler tags. Just wanted you to know that this is the talkback for the latest episode of...

The Sand Shinobi are here and ready to face off against they're sound opponents. Will Temari be able to take down Tayuya? Will Kankuro kill Sakon and Ukon? And how will Gaara deal with Kimimario? Watch and find out.



This week pratically everything goes in spoiler tags. However character info should still not be viewed unless you want to find out about the characters in this ep and what they're doing. So steer away if you don't want that. Otherwise read on.

MATCH ONE: ROCK LEE AND GAARA VS KIMIMARO!



Rock Lee (Age: 13. Allegiance: Leaf Village. Rank: Genin).
Part of the year older then the Rookie 9 Genins Team Guy, Rock Lee is the symbolism of youthful energy and a never give up attidue. Despite having no talent for Ninjitsu or Genjutsu, Rock was able to perfect powerful taijustu techniques thanks to the teachings and wisdom (as well as spirit) of his mentor Guy. Though severly injured by his match with Gaara, it seems that Lee has finally healed. However he wasn't strong enough (even with his "Loopy Fist") to beat his opponent so looks like that job will have to go to the one who injured him so in the first place...



Gaara Of The Desert (Age: 12. Allegiance: Sand Village. Rank: Genin).
From Birth Gaara's life was a mix of depression and pain. His mother died giving birth to him as the sand spirit was place inside of him in order go give the village strength. However they're "weapon" was looked down and hated by everyone and even the one person Gaara thought careda bout him wanted him dead. This made Gaara fairly insane and want to kill as many people as he could. However after his fight with Naruto his way of thinking has changed. So he and his sand controlling powers are back to try and put a hurting on...

VS


Kaguya Kimimaro (Age: 15. Allegiance: Sound Village. Rank: Jonin).
Once the Sound Four was the Sound Five and Kimimaro was the strongest member until a mysterious illness left him bedridden. He's come out of his sickness though in order to help Orochmaru by making sure Sasuke's delieved to him properly. Moving by his own mental strength and not his physical power Kimimario uses his Kekki Genkai to mainpulate the bones in his body. And though he's strong enough to clear a mess of shadow clones and drunken ninja, will it be enough to take on the "new" Gaara?

MATCH TWO: SHIKAMARU AND TEMARI VS TAYUYA!


Shikamaru Nara (Age: 12. Allegiance: Leaf. Rank: Chunin)
Shikamru is the brains of Team 10 (which consist of him, Ino Yamanaka and Chouji Akamichi). Despite appearing to be very lazy and slothful, Shikamaru is a genius shadow weilding ninja with an IQ over 200. He was also the only genin who actually passed the recent Chunin exam. He may consider things a drag but he'll give his life to complete a mission. The leader of the squad he was able to piece together an order in which the others should go as well as figuring out they would have to go one on one against all his opponents. Now all Shikmaru can do is have faith and hope to be saved by his new ally and old opponent...



Temari (Age: 15. Allegiance: Sand Ninja. Rank: Genin).
Temari is the older sister of Gaara and Kankuro who last year were part of operation destroy Konoha (even though she was against such a thing). So why is she back trying to help Shikamaru (who had out thought and was able to trap her in the Chunin Exam Final Round even though she won) defeat his opponent? Who knows but her powerful fan (as well as a few other tricks) should hopefully be able to finally take down...

VS


Tayuya (Age: 14. Allegiance: Sound Village. Rank: Jonin).
The Only female member of the sound four who has finally shown her stuff. She's fairly foul mouth and ill temepered, but is quick to point out some of the harsh facts of reality. She also has the ability to summon demons with a mystic flute, and play various meledies to get them to attack her opponents. However there is more to her then fancy flute playing though as when in second state she can use powerful genjutsu and have enough strength to break away from shadow strangulation. What about giant fans though? Well find out as now she has to content with two keen strategiests instead of just one.

MATCH THREE: KIBA AND SHIKMARU AND KANKURO VS SAKON AND UKON!



Kiba Inuzuka (Age: 12. Allegiance: Leaf. Rank: Genin)
Kiba is the unoffical "leader" of Team 8 (The other trio of rookie genin alongside Naruto and Shikamaru's group). He may be cocky and gloat about his strength but he will admitt when a foe is vastly supeior to his own strength. Together with his faithful dog Akamaru Kiba can use powerful Taijutsu attacks to double attack his foe and bring them to they're knees (even though his Taijustu is weaker then Choji's technically). He also has an incredible keen sense of smell, which was useful in tracking down Sasuke. However he ended up caught and almost done in by his opponent until being saved by...



Kankuro (Age: 14. Allegiance: Sand Ninja. Rank: Genin)
The middle sibling of Gaara (older brother) and Temari (younger sister) Kankuro is a powerful Sand Ninja puppet master whose puppet the crow not only doubles for switching places but hosting a wide variety of wepaons. He hates brats (since they tended to rile up his younger brother Gaara) and had been eaten away by bugs by Kiba's teammate awhile back? So why is he helping the leaf? Find out as he has to take on..


VS



Sakon and Ukon (Ages: 14. Allegiances: Sound Village. Ranks: Jonin).
The leader of the Sound Four, Sakon was shown having mysterious powers and was easily able to beat Sasuke awhile back. And now we see why: he has a brother sleeping on his back called Ukon who comes out and fights with him sometimes. The two of them together are quite formidble and in second stage are able to actually go into an opponent's body and destroy it from within. Ukon and Sakon have refromed in order to track down Kiba, but it looks like they've finally been able to catch up to Kiba. Now they face Kankuro as well, so will the duo still be able to win or will they just become Puppet chow?


OTHER CHARACTERS:
Naruto (He's chasing Sasuke and that alone dosen't give him a synopsis worthy spot. Not anymore anyway).
Sasuke

Do not spoil this EPISODE AT ALL BEFORE IT AIRS! I made the great lengths not to do that and I think that you can to. That's all I'm going to say.

Seems to me that you're the guy's that are overreacting. So what if Mike wants to be on the safe side this is his talkback for all I care he could have placed a Magikarp in that spoiler box.

I appreciate the title could be seen as a large spoiler but, come on. To be fair, this fact has been public knowledge for about 3 or 4 years now by the Japanese version of the comic and show. I'm not saying that means non-Japanese fans should just accept being spoiled but it seems rather silly to treat the talkback like its discussing something of great importance. Alot of shows have these kind of titles, especially in Japan. A random example- a later episode of G Gundam is titled "Master Asia Dies In The Morning Sun", revealing the big event of the episode. Regardless, that's the title the producers went with.

Personally, I'm sick of all the jumping through hoops we're seeing over this series. I'm sick of everyone raving about it and acting like it's so important. It's the title of a cartoon episode. Your life won't be ruined by seeing it. When I did the Doctor Who talkbacks this year, I didn't censor 'Daleks In Manhattan' or 'Last of the Time Lords' in the thread titles.

It's been noted as a courtesy. But at the same time, a number of us feel it's going a bit too far over a TV show. It's the official episode title. Sometimes shows will have spoilerish titles but tell me honestly, how many other shows that get talkbacks here have people hide the titles like this?
There's also further the fact this information has been out officially for a few years now. I remember reading these chapters when I was in college and I'm currently in my final year of university. This is not some world premier episode or even airing close to Japan. It's also the official episode title, like it or lump it.

I also have to wonder, were the show not Naruto, would we be also wrapping it up in cotton wool like this?

Not to be anal, but that isn't true. Just because you started a thread doesn't give you free reign to do whatever you want in it. You can certainly post it as such but there are still rules and such you have to keep in mind. Otherwise there would be no point having those rules at all.

I don't understand why people are so up in arms about this. The title can always be changed in the topic when the episode airs, and it's not as big a deal as some of you are making it out to be. It's just the title of a discussion thread--are you really as upset about it as you're claiming to be?

I, personally, couldn't care less. There are still going to be people here who don't know what's coming, and Mike was being considerate when he decided not to post the title. Besides, how many people casually watching the show are going to check the title before it airs? I'd say not many.

It's a title. It's made to be seen. If it wasn't a title it would be a different issue but there is no reason to hide something that has no reason to be hidden. The Japanese surely had no problem with it. In this day and age, it's near impossible to stay spoiler free, anyways. I doubt they will be burning down the thread for this one.

This isn't something thats ruining my life but I think it's an argument worth discussing because it'll probably happen again at some point.

If this episode title was such a big deal, official steps could have been taken by Viz. To go back to my Doctor Who example, sometimes episode titles for the last few episodes aren't released until about a week before they air due to spoiler concerns.
