Nam and Goku faced off in the second semifinal in an aerial battle. Nam's aerial attack appeared to knock Goku unconscious at first, but after recovering Goku showed Nam he could jump higher than him and eventually knocked him out of the ring to advance. After seeing the loss, Jackie Chun revealed to Nam he was Master Roshi and gave him a capsule to fill with water to help his tribe.

Goku and Jackie Chun have advanced to the finals easily, but now they must see which one is stronger in head-to-head battles, but this isn't a robattle. It's time for the cmedic finals to start.
Vs.
Bulma: Bulma found Goku and had him help her obtain the Dragonballs, which she hoped would allow her to find the perfect boyfriend. She soon discovered she didn't need the Dragonballs though as Yamcha and her became good friends, enough so where he moved in at her house. Now she's ready to cheer for Yamcha, Goku, and even Krillin, whom she has just met.
Oolong: This young pig may look like a weakling, but his ability to shape shift can come in handy, especially when they are searching for the Dragon Balls. Oolong saved the world from Emperor Pilaf's wish, and now he finds himself living with Bulma and having all the joys of life he previously wanted. With the tournament about to occur, Oolong has come out to cheer for his friends.
Puar: This innocent cat may look friendly enough, but she actually attended the same school Oolong went to, and she can hold her shape a lot longer than Oolong. Puar joined the gang when they realized Yamcha and Puar were actually willing to become friends, but her loyalty to cheering for Yamcha will always come first.
Master Roshi: Known as the "Turtle Hermit," this old man knows Martial Arts, and a powerful move known as the Kamehameha Wave! Having trained the Ox King and Goku's Grandpa Gohan, he'll also train Goku and Krillin for the World Martial Arts Tournament! It's a well-known fact that Master Roshi has a big lust for beautiful women, but he tried to put aside his greed to watch the boys enjoy fighting. He may put a few obstacles in their way as the tournament progresses though to show tough love.
Announcer: This man has the important role of acting as the count ref and watching over the tournament draw, but his main job is to do the play-by-play for each tournament. Rest assured in knowing he will always call a fair fight, even if it is well into the night.
The Chairman: This hound has help establish the tournament and is ready to watch as all the fights unfold, but first he must deliver a message of extreme importance to everyone around. Whenever weather comes into play, it is up to The Chairman to decide whether or not the matches continue or if they should be postponed.
Elders of the Many Tree Temple: These boys fought side-by-side with Krillin and the Orinji temple, and they are marked as members of that temple by having six dots on their forehead. These boys tried to fight in the tournament, but Krillin quickly humbled them. Now they want to pick a fight with Giran to prove they belong, but they might be in for a longer dose of humility than expected. (Eliminated in the qualifying round by Krillin)
Bacterian: Don't let that grin fool you, for Bacterian is considered to be one of the worlds greatest martial arts masters. He refuses to take a bath, so everyone who gets close to him must cover their nose and be distracted by his smell instead of the fight. The gang soon learns that even in the prelilms, he's one not to be taken lightly. (Eliminated First by Krillin)
Giran: This beast is a member of the previous tournaments final fight, and he's ready to show the world his beastly ways at all costs. First though he must fit in a crowded room to survive the elimination round. (Eliminated Fourth by Goku)
Jackie Chun: Don't let this old mans looks confuse you, for he's considered to be one of the strongest fighters in the world. His fighting ways are similar to those of the Turtle Hermit, and he's come to stop Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha from winning the tournament, but can he get past the first round?
Nam: This man is seen in the background of the qualifying rounds of the tournament, and he is one of the first ones to advance to the finals, but what skills are hidden behind this quiet demeanor? (Eliminated sixth by Goku)
Ranfan: Don't let her looks fool you. Ranfan has come to compete in the Worlds Martial Art tournament at all costs, and shes willing to use not only her looks but her body as well to win. Will she manage to survive the qualifying round? (Eliminated Third by Nam)
Yamcha: Don't let that face confuse you. This Yamcha is much older than the one who first appears, and he only loves one thing: money. After spending time with Goku and Bulma, he no longer fears women, and has a good relationship with Bulma, but he has decided to prove he is the world's best fighter so he can finally have a rematch with Goku. Will his self training prove to be enough? (Eliminated Second by Jackie Chun)
Goku: Goku was raised by the wise Gohan, whom he refers to as Grandpa, but a tragedy led to Gohan's demise. After Bulma found Goku, he decided to accompany her and met Master Roshi. Once Roshi learned of the connection, he invited Goku to come for Turtle Hermit Training, an invitation Goku accepted. The training is now over, but what will the results of his training be?
Krillin: This young man arrived claiming to have a gift ready for Master Roshi, but he soon found himself searching for a girl for Roshi. After completing this adventure, Krillin was accepted into training with Goku and struck up a rivalry, which he found Goku usually winning. Now he's ready to fight and show his strength, and he's taken care o figures from his past that haunted him. (Eliminated Fifth by Jackie Chun)
