    Hunter x Hunter... ONLY Toonami?

    Like This Thread!
Well... Viz has it and that's about as good as a show can do. We're almost guarenteed Jetstream but hopefully in due time Saturday night Toonami will no longer lack Hunter x Hunter.

Some may argue it's too old but they're still playing DBZ and HxH is only as old as One Piece.

They really should take a chance on it but I'm not entirely confident that they will.

    At any rate... here's hoping.

Maybe eventually. I don't think the higher violence level would be too much of a problem down the line.

But man when Naruto is in filler purgatory... HxH would really help One Piece out at keeping Toonami worth watching.

Yeah,we do need this show on Toonami.I've heard only good things about it,so I'll be watching. But,this fall, with One Piece,Naruto Shippuden, and HunterXHunter if it's ready, that Transformers series, and hopefully The Spectacular Spider-Man,Toonami would become a heck-of-alot better later on this year.
    Until we meet again...

If they can get over the age, it would be logical. They certainly had no problem airing the early One Piece episodes. The issue is whether they view it as having the same potential as Naruto or One Piece. I'd sure like to see some diversity on Toonami down the line though, lest it simply turn into the shonen jump block.

At a minimum, Jetstream is probably inevitable.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson

Toonami did play the Tenchi Muyo OVA years ago. I don't see why not do the same with HxH.

Wait, I heard the anime was less violent that the manga. Why would there be higher level of violence then?

    Well I swear..
If they add HxH to Jetstream, then it'd be stupid for CN not to get Yu Yu Hakusho from FUNi to put on Jetstream!

When did Viz announce they aquired Hunter x Hunter? If it doesn't specify an episode count, they may have aquired the OVAs as well.

Yes, it'll be on Jetstream, and yes, they should put it on Toonami as well, especially once Goosebumps gets taken off.

Those NATPE listings are not indicitive of a licensing. Viz listed Ichigo 100% last year, and I don't believe they ever licensed it.

    I guess the lacking continues...

Well, assuming Viz does have it, I really don't see any reason they SHOULDN'T put it on Toonami. Realisticly the block has been lacking severely, and Naruto, One Piece, and DBZ can't sustain forever. Put it on right before Naruto, and that makes half the block watchable.

Of course Toonami wouldn't pick up this show. That would be smart. When's the last time Cartoon Network made a smart decision concerning Toonami? Picking up Prince of Tennis? No, wait, they ****ed that up by not airing the episodes in order.

Lol, you'll never let that go, huh? XD

Well, it was a bone headed decision so I guess it's to be expected.

Didn't you already view said episodes before they came to Toonami?

I started to, but when I found out it was coming on television, I stopped watching the episodes on Jetstream. Of course, then they took it off TV, and it's too far ahead on Jetstream for me to catch up. I'm not sure what my particular viewing habits have anything to do with whether or not their decision was intelligent, though. Even if some people watched them on Jetstream a lot of people don't have access to Jetstream or just don't want to watch episodes on their computer.

Is HxH digitally colored? If it's not digitally colored and it's not DBZ, it will never air on Toonami, or if it does, it will fail horribly. Kids hate traditionally colored animation now.
Yup. It's a signature. Go away if you're expecting something interesting here.
