Not bad at all considering it was up against the High School Musical 2 juggernaught which was the highest rated thing on cable ever (17.2 million viewers)
And it seems it did well for CN. It boosted it's 9-14 numbers each night. It did okay in the 2-11 department and alright in the 6-11 demographic. Of course, it wasn't able to beat out Nick or Disney Channel(especially them). Here's the numbers:

It seems that the East High Wildcats Trampled over the Hidden Leaf Village this past weekend.... OUCH!

No duh
But ya, we beat nick in Tweens catagory not once, but twice. I say that's a pretty gewd effort..
I was wordering how the ratings were doing after the Hundo, then I read the newspaper.... This is what the title said.
"'High School Musical 2': It sets a ratings record."
So.... That means that The Hundo didn't even come close to HSM2.
Oh well, but I don't think that the ratings were that bad.
Why Give Up? Why Give In?It's Not Enough, It Never Is.But I Will Go On Until The End.
Looks like Naruto is slipping with the 6-11. They aren't impressive at all. However, it's still doing very well with 9-14, which is good to see. I'm assuming it's also still doing great with 12-17 too.
In more ratings news, the marathon did get CN up to #2 in total viewers for the week in the ad-supported basic cable network rankings (only behind Nick), and pushed CN up to #8 in the 18-34's.
CN did beat out Nick amongst 9-14 for both Friday and Saturday. That's pretty good. A shame the 6-11 ratings aren't higher, but I said many times that I never expected Naruto to be a hit with that age group.
9-14 ratings aren't too bad, and that is the age group Naruto is aimed for. Since it was up against High School Musical 2, you got to wonder if the Hundo was CN's attempt to challenge High School Musical 2, or did it just end up that way? Maybe the ratings would have been slightly higher if they had the Hundo the weekend before?
Yeah, I was a little bit surprised to see CN in the 18-34 department. I guess Naruto does well in that demographic as well.
I'm a little surprisd that they beat Nick in the tweens on Friday & Saturday, but they didn't beat them when they had the premier episode.
College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

Beware The Almighty Hammer Gun!
well, Sunday is when Teen Nick normally airs, so they probably lost a lot of viewers there..
thats what i ment, Raitings-wise, i would laugh if that would have actually happened in a Naruto-HSM crossover...

Logically speaking, more people obviously enjoyed watching HSM2 more than Hundo.
Anyway, ouch for CN. A Naruto marathon, probably their closest show they have that can compete with Nick/Disney, and they still placed third overall.
Well, you have to rmemeber that Disney's ratings were supe-sized because of HSM 2.., and 2-6 ratings were abnormal on Friday for Nick because of Go Diego Go Special..
Honestly, CN did well imo, but i'm sure they were hoping they could beat Nick on Sunday in 9-14..
But any statements like that are obviously unfair. The only way that statement would be accurate would be if you had everyone who watched HSM2 watch some of the Hundo and vice-versa and then survey everyone which they prefered watching. Remember, we can probably all agree that Disney has much smarter businessmen than Cartoon Network. Programming quality, on the other hand, is in the eye of the beholder, and unless someone goes through all the work I discussed earlier, we don't even have a proper way to get a majority opinion.
