Actually, I believe the correct episode title is "The Turn of the Two". But no big deal.![]()
Dub Episode 96- "The Turn of the Two"
Japanesse Episode 128- "The Pirates' Banquet and Operation Escape Alabasta!"
Last time on One Piece, the Straw Hat gang was able to rest in the palace while Chaser and Tashigi received promotions as the Navy claimed they were the ones to stop Baroque Works and their evil empire.
Today, the Straw Hats are invited to rest at the palace and within its hot springs, but what will the Straw Hats do when they are invited to stay in Alabasta permanently?
Meet the crew:
Monkey D. Luffy- The kid whose body is made of rubber because he ate a piece of gum gum fruit. He has one goal in life- To be king of the pirates by finding Gold Rodger's legendary One Piece. In order to achieve his goal, he must defeat the most dangerous pirates on the seas. His adventure started off on the right foot by knocking out Alvida and the pirate clown, but more dangerous foes are aware he's on his way now, including an old friend. Will Luffy be able to achieve his goal?
Roronoa Zolo (Zoro)- The former pirate hunter has become Luffy's first man, and his three sworded technique is almost unbeatable. He travels with Luffy hoping to encounter the greatest swordsmen, but one face seems to haunt him: the face of Tashigi, who looks an awful lot like an old childhood friend Kuina. Can Zolo manage to achieve his goal if he can't get by her?
Nami- Nami has one goal: to map the entire ocean while becoming rich in the process. As a result, she joins Luffy's crew, but every chance she gets, she rips off her friends and her enemies. Nami also has a sense that allows her to detect weather changes, but will this be enough to avoid most pirate crews?
Usopp- Originally Usopp was an advent liar, but Luffy and company made him feel welcome in ways he never could have imagined. At first site Usopp appears to be a coward, but we all know looks can be deciving. Usopp is more of a cowardly lion, and his eyes can nail almost any target at will. Sometimes he even surprises himself with his abilities, but will his cowardly personality cause him to abandon his friends, or will Usopp emerge to be a hero?
Sanji- Sanji was brought aboard by his goal of finding The Legendary Deep Blue, but also his desire to become a master chef everyone would know. If Luffy achieves his goal of finding One Piece, Sanji knows his dream will also be realized, but don't think you can steal food from Sanji, for his kicks are more than enough to take out an eye, teeth, and much more if he's in the mood.
Princess Vivi- This princess has finally managed to let her father know that Crocdile is behind all the trouble, but now she finds herself on the front line- at Rainbase, against Lord Crocodile and his masterful leaders. If that's not enough, an old childhood friend is the leader of the rebels, and he may think of her as being the enemy now. Can she somehow find a way to restore peace to the kingdom?
Chopper- When one says "Let's Get Ready to Rumble," they are obviously referring to Chopper. Chopper has a special rumble ball which gives him the ability to transform into 7 different creatures, Add this to Chopper's normal 3 forms from the cursed fruit he ate, and Chopper is more than enough for any opponent. Not only can Chopper transform and fight, but his real abilities lie as the crew's doctor. Chopper has set his goal on becoming the worlds greatest physician, and with a whole island backing him, he may be able to achieve his dream on the greatest pirate crew in the making.
Others to keep an eye on:
Tashigi- Chaser's partner and a skillful swords woman. Tashigi looks a lot like Zolo's dead friend, Kuina, which makes him reluctant to fight her. Although a bit clumsy, Tashigi usually means well. And she's made a boastful decision to go after and arrest the Straw-Hat Pirates.
Chaser (Smoker)- A rough and tough Navy captain, who especially wants to capture Luffy. Chaser possess the power of the "Smoke-Smoke Fruit", which let's him turn into pure smoke. As thus, Luffy can't fight him since he really can't hit him. Currently, he's left his assistant, Tashigi, in charge of capturing the Straw-Hats.
Mr. 0 (AKA Sir Crocodile)- This evil mastermind is the creator of Baroque Works, and his dastardly goal is to turn Alabasta into a war zone. It is also known that he has mysterious powers, including the ability to mummify his victims, but nobody seems to know how many skills he's armed with, and they could cause trouble for the Straw Hats. Little does Crocodile know that his secret is now out to the Alabasta royal army, and he could soon be fighting a war on two fronts. What tricks does Crocodile have waiting for his opposition?
Ms. Sunday (AKA Nico Robin)- Crocodile's partner, and the strongest female agent of Baroque Works. She's eaten the Hana-Hana Fruit which let's her sprout her body parts like flowers. She has a bounty of over 70,000,000 berries which means she's highly dangerous. She's also very mysterious. What are her true motives?
King Nebra- The king of Alabasta, and Vivi's father. Nebra is truely a nice and worthy king, but Crocodile has tricked the public into thinking that Nebra is a bad man. Will he regain the loyalty of his subjects?
Chaka- With Igaram gone, Chaka is responsible in leading the rebel army. Since the king was lost at the time, and the rebel army was getting closer, Chaka had no choice but to send his troops to attack the rebels. What powers does this man possess?
Koza-The rebel leader and Vivi's childhood freind. He and his men have been set up into thinking the king is responsible for all of Alabasta's troubles, when it's really Crocodile. He's recently learned the truth, and tried to stop the war. Koza managed to survive being shot, and now he's ready to pledge his loyalty.
Igaram- Originally Igaram was known in Baroque Works as #8, but in reality he was a spy for Nebra who, along with Vivi, intended to prove the kingdom had been framed and overthrow Crocodile. With his role as one of the Royal Guards, Igaram is an impressive warrior with hair that could light your world with bullet fire.
Eyelash- This camel was saved by Luffy from mighty desert beasts, but he is a lovesick camel. As a result, he will only carry women on his back. The men don't like this very well, so they strike out at Eyelash every chance they get, but Nami and Vivi are grateful for the fast free ride, and will do everything in their power to protect this mighty steed. Thanks to his efforts to save Alabasta, Eyelash is about to get a reward, but what will be the twist with the entire kingdom watching?
Next week: "Pirate Vivi"
If anyone has a better image of Igaram, fill free to submit it as I wouldn't mind getting a colored one up there to allow him to go with the others.

College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

"The Turn of the Two". I wonder if the title of this episode is a reference to Nami "two friends" appearing in this episode.
Most likely not, seeing how 4Kids cut the scene out.![]()

It's kind of like ET, if you take out all of the emotion and turn it into a silly webcomic that's updated on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Why couldn't they just let the king give his thanks rather than a dumb joke about boring royal speeches?
*EDIT* I understand them getting rid of a certain scene, but they just COULDN'T resist an opportunity to ruin a serious moment in the series!
Lol, looks like 4Kids took a page from WS's digital bikinis.
RomanMack, do you have a clip from the uncut version of the bath scene?![]()
