Episode 64: "Geometry 101: Painful, Perplexing and Pungent Polygons"
Japanese title: "Polygons are a *****!! Both Dancing and Beautifully Formed High Spi~rits!? / Retro Game Counterattack(^0^) Great Difference for Victory in Seeing and Doing!?"
Original Japanese Airdate: July 2, 2005
Last Time:
Hoping to open up Rem's heart, Bo-bobo releases his own nightmarish Bo-bobo World, filled with so many dramatic and touching scenes that it finally frees the darkness within for him to smash up. But before things became over-emotional, Lambada crashes the party and releases the power of his polygon aura to change the shape of his opponents! Luckily Softon (by way of inheriting J's Black Sun abilities) helps against the warrior of shapes, as he finds himself temporarily stopped by the judgement of Blabs-a-lot!
Meet the Bona-fide Stars:
Team Wiggin' -
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: The Bo-tector with the yellow fro, he's the main character in case you're too thick to figure out. Bo's the master of the Fist of the Nose Hair, extening 9-foot long nose hairs that is. Bobobo's on a quest to save all of mankind's hairstyles from extinction by the Hair Hunt Troops of Czar Baldy Bald. That is, whenever he's not beating up on his own teammates, dressing up for skits, or just acting crazy in general. Don't try to understand him, lest you wish for your head to explode. He recently fused with Dengaku Man to make the beautiful Denbo.
Don Patch: Every good hero needs a sidekick by his side. And usually said sidekick has a fighting style that compliments the hero's. Don Patch however, compliments Bobobo in terms of personality. Not much one to fight, the former leader of the wiggin' tribe is always caught wiggin' out, complaining about screen time and absorbing abuse like a sponge. When pissed off, however, he can truely kick ass.
Beauty: Every good lengthy action cartoon needs a female teenage that offers the hero support. Beauty is said woman. One of the only sane characters in the show, Beauty's always on hand to basically deliver shocked reactions at Bo's antics. It's a wonder she's still sane at this point.
Gasser: Every good, wait hasn't this intro been used enough now? One might assume Gasser's the dreamy teenage male counter-part to the Beauty's position that falls in love with said female. Well he's certaintly one of the other sane members except for the fact that he fights with his own flatulence. His Fist of the Backwind abilities are so powerful, they need to regulated by the collar on his neck. Beauty often calls him Gas-can.
Softon: Is his head really full of crap or he is truly a single scoop strawberry swirl? Whatever his head's made of, it doesn't makes matters much different with this former hair hunt trooper. Softon's fighting style grants the ability to channel the powers of the Godess Blabs-A-Lot. He suddenly vanished after Bobobo and crew defeated the mighty Captain Battleship. He just rejoined the gang recently, and it looks like he has a few tricks up his sleeves.
Jelly Jiggler: He's pompous, he's emotional, he's....LITCHI FLAVORED?! Another former bad guy and ex head of the A Block Hair Hunters, Jelly Jiggler is pretty much the guy that cushions blows when Don Patch can't. His Fist of the Wobble Wobble lets him shape his gelatin body into various shapes and forms. Now Jelly Jiggler has returned to help Bobobo and Don Patch defeat the headless troops in wiggin' battles, but will his wiggin' skills prove powerful enough when he can't fly?
Dengaku Man: This former leader of the head hunters has become the beloved mascot for Bo-bobo and his team. He doesn't have any special powers, but Bo-bobo uses him as an extension for his fist of the nose hair all the time. All he cares about is making people eat dengaku and making as many friends as possible. Last time, he fused with Bo-bobo to make Denbo.
Hatenko: Don Patch's biggest fan, he's royally obsessed with the workings of The Don and is devoted to his acts. Hatenko keeps hair hunters locked up nice and safe, literally, with the powers of his Fist of the Key. He had a mark on his neck earlier, but once Bobobo defeated Torpedo Girl, Hatenko found he was destined to join Bobobo and company to save the world at all costs.
Torpedo Girl: This (wo)man is actually a former villian in disguise after (s)he has been turned angry. However, (s)he wasn't satisfied with his/her original loss to Bobobo, so (s)he decides to join the team and takeout the evl Baldy Bald Empire. Just be sure you don't say any jokes around her though, or you may be in for a dangerous explosion of wackiness. She's secretly in love with Softon.
Newton the Narrator: The most mysterious member of the group, he seems to follow them wherever they go and knows what'll happen twenty steps ahead of everyone (except when the writers don't inform him of something).

What do you get when you put three friends in a recording booth once a week, screen old anime, and tell them to make sense of it? You get the Anime of Yesteryear Podcast! Tune in each week as we kick back and discuss anime of old, both the well-known and the obscure, as well as our thoughts on the latest developments in the world of comics. (Updates Weekly!)

Looks like the title is fixed. Anyways, this should be a good episode. :anime:

For the heck of it, I'm going to say "No poll?"
Anyway Bobobo and company have prevailed against all thanks to Softon beating Mr. Polygon, but what new evils are waiting for them outside of the game world?
College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

Beware The Almighty Hammer Gun!
No, Softon didn't beat Lambada (aka the Polygon using Super fister). Softon dealt him a powerful blow but his black sun powers ran out as Lambada seemed to be warming up. Which is kind of sad really: I mean Softon's the really cool character but he never gets a full fight of his own to beat an enemy like BoBoBo, Don Patch, Torpeado Girl or even Hatenko. Oh well, Lambada will probably be beaten by BoBoBo tonight in a hopefully really funny ep.
Instead of just using this new signature to celebrate a thousand more post, let me list of all the great things you can expect of me on this board for 2012:
...... The same talkbacks you saw me do last year but with new episodes.

I hope so, because I intend to go see TransFormers at the nearest Drive-in theater on July 2nd, and get Bo-BoBo V3 on Tuesday!

If anyone comes up and asks "Are you a spy?" just say "Yes! Can't you read? But I'm undercover!" - Don Patch
He who is tired of Weird Al, is tired of life. - Homer Simpson
lol..Polygons
Whoever got all the line of all the smart things Beauty said about polygons wins 100 cookies
Wow they turned into a Transformer xD
Okay I think the after the whole retro gaming transformation joke (which is actually a nice callback to the opening) they had a commerical which I consider to be the shortest commerical break span ever. Seriously that wasn't even like two and a half minutes. Heck the commerical break we're having now will probably be longer then the chunk of episode that was played. Jeez I know I didn't want as intrustive commericals as there were before but this really seems a bit too close for commerical comfort.

The most recent Video games explanation that Beauty gave about Polygons is actually true. The game character, Rayman's limbs weren't connected because they had to save on Polygons.

Why do I have a sudden urge to play Parodius?
"Burning Man"? I think you mean "Burning Urethra" -- that place is a massive colony of venereal diseases being nurtured by their human servants. -zombie
Hehe, "Piggy Preparation".![]()
Izzy Mandelbaum: How 'bout that, huh? The WORLD'S greatest dad. My son made it for me.
Jerry: That's very nice.
Izzy Mandelbaum: The best in the world! Which means I'm better than just number one.
Jerry: Well, I don't know how official any of these rankings really are.
Bobobo:This brand new game is called... BRAND NEW GAME!
Bobopatchjiggler!!
No wonder they call Lambada the forbidden dance...his moves are so bad they should be outlawed!

Toonami on [as] Saturdays at 12amET. Now with more Sara.
This episode wins 2 awards; for best fight scene, and for worst places to put a commercial break.
"Did I just kill 'Premature Ejaculation'?"
I absolutely loved the video games parodies. I have to say, switching to retro video game mode to invalidate Lambada's polygons was actually pretty......smart. That's a new one for this show.
Bobopatchiggler also made a small cameo! Pretty cool.
"*gasps* He defeated him!"
Eck, that had to be one of the most pointless Beauty outbursts I've seen...
Though, the rest of the episode was pretty good, especially the video game parodies. Ironic how they parodied a video game series that's a parody of another video game series, however (I'm sure it was intentional, but still).
Something should go here, like this. Yeah, that's good enough.
Man, this episode makes want to play 16 bits games again.
I like the video games parodies and BoPatchsuke cameo
