"Hellboy: Blood and Iron" Feature Talkback (Spoilers)

    Like This Thread!
Cartoon Network's Movie Madness continues and for Toonami's anniversary, they're giving us a little treat.

In 1939, young Professor Bruttenholm destroyed Erzsebet Ondrushko, a female vampire who bathed in the blood of innocents to stay young. Now someone in upstate New York is trying to bring her back, and the elderly Professor Broom has decided to investigate it himself. He takes the top BPRD agents, Hellboy, Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien, who are more worried about his welfare than the return of any vampire. Their tune changes when they face a horde of ghosts, a phantom wolf pack, witches, harpies, a giant werewolf and Erzsebet herself. Hellboy ends up battling the Queen of Witches, the goddess Hecate, who wants him to embrace his true destiny, a destiny that includes the destruction of mankind. Hellboy and his fellow agents encounter ghosts, monsters and a resurrected female vampire. Now with more blood, iron, and fiber for a balanced diet. Based on the work of Mike Magnolia.

There probably won't be any spoiling, since this it's not even on DVD yet, but if you have seen it somehow, don't spoil anything. If you do, use a spoiler box.

It airs tonight at 7:00 PM.

Let's just say this could either be really good or really bad. I really didn't like Hellboy's animation last time, but this time it does look a bit better.

That's a matter of opinion. The animation wasn't awesome, but it was a very good change from YGO GX and Pokemon. I also like the darker palette... all of the Toonami anime are extremely bright. (in terms of colors.)

It's sure as hell better than freakin' Mosaic. Gods above, that animation sucked.

well, the Hellboy chapters were done beautifully, the rest of the film (Sword of Storms) was above average. Given the interviews from Mr. Stone, Blood & Iron should be a tighter production from A to Z.

Okay, fine. May I mod please change the title? I used the word "talkback" twice.

Well, maybe it will be inflight.

Maybe TOM gets distracted by watching the movie and crashes the ship into a planet.

I didn't get a chance to see the first Hellboy movie. I'm looking forward to seeing this today, along with the new look.

Finally. A cartoon that recognizes just how disgusting it is to walk through a sewer. Because it's full of crap.

(Yes. I am aware of Freakazoid.)

Looks like we are getting the flashback and the fight scene was good. And the animation is a little more smother than Storm of Storms, which is good.

The music in the flashback reminds me of some of the lower beat, sad tempos to the Star Wars OST music.

Wow, I can see why this movie earned a TV-14-V rating. Very bloody.

If every Toonami show had Hellboy's content limits...well, ASA's programming would be a lot lighter.

Lol at how many times Hellyboy says 'crap.'

Wow, that professor's voice sounds really off.

    It's pretty good so far.

Interesting movie so far. Seems better than the first one.

    And definitely earning its rating.

I find it ironic that the smartest person in the room is the butler.

Hellboy to the butler, "Going somewhere."

Butler, "I never stay in after dark."
