I think most fans problems with DBZ stem from the fact that CN overplays it so much.

I agree with naraht. I used to love DBZ, even when it was on the WB, I'd watch it every sunday. Anywayz, they keep on rerunning the same thing over and over, and DBZ has lost the effect it had on me. I'll watch it, but I won't enjoy it.

DBZ used to be one of my favorite animes, but now I watch it only when there's absolutely nothing else to do.

I like DBZ but I hate the re-runs of it.

I'm ok with DBZ even tho it has a lower than average dub job (based on the scale of most dubs) but even if it had an excellent dub job, CN still as a habit for running it WAY too often. You'd think they realize by now that beating a dying horse again and again is just going to kill it....

I agree with this as well. DBZ is tolerable, however running it in to the ground does not help its, or any show for that matter's, longevity. Run it through once. Replace it for awhile and give fans a chance to cool down and raise the level of demand for the product... then put it back on again. KFC does this with their Honey BBQ Chicken Wings.

    Mmmmmm.... BBQ Chicken.....
Anyway, I do enjoy DBZ, but I haven't watched a episode on Toonami since the last new episode aired back in November(?).
I'm impatiently waiting for "Emergence" to come out in April so I can finally see Goku go SSJ3 in a language OTHER than Japanese.

I wish that they would start ALL over at the very begginning of DBZ. By the time they are up to where they are now, then its September, and the new episodes will be shown

I love DBZ, I own fansubs of the entire series and movies, the Manga too. I do argee, however, that DBZ is being run into the ground on Toonami.

Yeah, I have to agree with you, They need to start the entire series over for the people that came and saw the series during The Android/Cell Saga, and Majin Buu.

They should run it from the beginning, I only started watching it during the cell saga. I like it and still watch it if i catch it on. But they shouldn't run it like they do. Showing the same 43 episodes over and over again is ridiculous.

Yeah, me too. But instead they've reran the beginning of the Buu Saga, what about five times? I've been watching for about a year and a half and have yet to see the Saya-Jin saga.

I love DBZ! Five times outght to be the limit, though. Reruns are okay if you missed a few episodes, but keeping them going for six months is a little too much.

Oh well, the new episodes are coming in February! I can't wait!

Does CN still own the rights the first 53 Saban eps? Cuz if not, when starting over we may only get to see from the beginning of the Ginyu Saga and up :/

While I can't help but be grateful for DBZ for bringing in the numbers to keep Toonami as a whole on the air, I still think it's a shoddy, boring, highly overrated waste of cels.

I now present every single DBZ episode ever made:

Character A: Grrr... grrr... grrr... (a two-frame animation cycle of him gritting his teeth.)

Character B: Heh heh heh heh heh. (A two-frame animation cycle of him laughing.)

Character A: YOU HAVE YET TO SEE MY TRUE POWER!

(Character A and B punch and kick at each other in a series of 10(+/-)-frame animation cycles.)

Character A: HAAAAAAA! (He blasts a ball of energy from his hands at Character B. The energy ball creates a crater large enough to hide a university in, but when the four-frame animation cycle of smoke clears, Character B is standing in the middle of it, completely unscathed.) ...Huh? Uh... uh... (A two-frame animation cycle of his eyebrow twitching.)

Character B: Heh heh heh heh heh. (A two-frame animation cycle of him laughing.)

It'd be a whole lot better if they didn't show re-runs all the time

    Nick's Rant on DBZ

Ok, here is my all inclusive rant on DBZ. You might want to get some Chips, or a soda...

Anyway, DBZ starts off good..we learn that yes, Goku is an Alien, and his race is out to get him. Groovy.

Anyway, Goku dies in the fight with his brother and trains with King Kai (ok, I'll interject here that I've only seen Funi's Dub, so my rants might be a bit off, as that's what I have to go on)
King Kai tells Goku that he's never faced anything like Vegita & Napa..again, I'm not having a problem here.

Anyway, skipping ahead, it's off to planet Namek...where we meet Frieza...this is where it all starts going down hill.

King Kai treats Frieza like he's the ultimate fighter...all that and a bag of chips. It takes Goku going Super Saiyan to take him out.

    ok...Fine. Frieza's dead...

Back on Earth, oh look - Androids! Not only that, but even the weak androids are stonger than Frieza. Wow! Ok..King Kai obviously didn't know about the evil Androids...

Oh, and now here's cell..from the future...(Note, Time Travel storys are BAD BAD BAD!)

Well, Cell's defeated...and it gets worse..

Now King Kai changes his tune, with the Tournament for the Grand Kai...

Now we have Buu.....whom King Kai has Fought!!!!! Did he have amneisa when he told Goku that Frieza was the worst of the worst?

    *sigh*

Now that's my big Plot rant.
Now, that's not my only problem...granted, I haven't seen all of Dragonball...but did people get a whole lot weaker between when Goku was a kid, and the latest tournament?

Ok, I realize that the big joke is how outrageously strong Goku & the others are compared to other people, and even I got a chuckle out of the whole thing....but honestly. In a recent ep of Dragonball, I saw people training that would have wiped the floor with Mr. Satan. *sigh*

I dunno...it's good for a chuckle, but it's not the bestest show on Toonami, that's for sure (this isn't counting problems with the dub, akward overplaying etc.)
