Ranma 1/2 on Toonami ?

Ranma 1/2 Am I dreaming or does this thing ahve a chance on Toonami... Or is it more of an Adult Swim thing ?

I've loved the manga, the anime and just the basic story. I've been a fan of it for years and would love tos ee it gets oem broadcast action... wahta bout you other guys ?

It probably won't be in CNs future, due to the nudity & what not..if it were to apear, it'd be on Adult swim....with editing.

I really can't say, what with having seen Spanish-dubbed Ranma 1/2 on local TV in a Saturday morning block (recent it got replaced by Slam Dunk, a basketball anime. My boyfriend's a fan, but me? Ehhh...) and from the little I've seen, nothing's too nasty.

Then again, I've yet to see a whole ep on that TV station, so I don't know if anything gor edited out.

I absolutey love Ranma 1/2 but I don't really see this one coming to Adult Swim (it would NEVER make it to Toonami). I guess it could happen though if they could get past the whole gender switching thing. I don't see them being able to do that though.*sighs*

It's a great and funny anime. But I just can't see it on Toonami, even Adult Swim for some strange reason. Not that it's too bad for TV. I just can't see it on CN, period.

Ranma 1/2 isn't really all that adult to begin with. The only problem is nudity. But since there's a large, casual amount don't expect on Toonami or televison for that matter.

The only way I could ever think Ranma 1/2 could be on TV is if it was on a pay channel like HBO, Showtime, or something of that ilk.

Why not give it the Digital Bikini Treatment ..I mean wouldn't that make it allowable on Toonami..I mean the whole gender thing shouldn't be a prob, heck Bugs Bunny cross dressers all the time.

I'd like to see it on TV some how.

And yeah it's not Adult enough for adult Swim, but then agin neither is most of it's block, ya know what I mean ?

I don't see any problems with the sex changes but there's just way too much nudity in Ranma 1/2 for CN to cover the budget cost for the digital editing. Unless they got the guts to let it run with the nudity. Maybe in a late night run they could air it.

The only way I could see Ranma 1/2 airing on any american network is to have the show COMPLETELY remade, with the nude scenes implied rather than shown outright. I've actually considered this for awhile, and if you go directly from the comic and animate a new series, there are all kinds of tricks you can do with blocking to do this.

Of course, I've considered this possibility for other reasons. I despise the anime, which rather than doing the comics justice, is really a very long animated alternate universe fanfic. I'd even go as far as saying it's a Disneyized version of the comic. Best thing to do with Ranma 1/2 is to keep it in the comic book format, or just do another animated series based on it.

As fun and interesting as I think it would be to air it on Toonami, it just has too much nudity in it. They'd have to stretch the digital bathing suit quotient, wouldn't they? Maybe on Adult Swim... maybe! Still...

And if the budget is just too small for all those digital bikinis, how about black bars? Hehe, just kidding!!

If they aired it on Adult Swim it might not be a bad idea to just throw black boxes every where..and make it some kind of joke..

Ya know Bob and Margret had a few doses of Nudity and it aired at 9:30 (central time)...... so odds are now that Adult swim has a solid audience they can get away with it.

I don't who many people here play "The Sims" but handling nudity the way that game does would be hilarious (to me - and that's really all that matters ). The nude person gets pixelated to be very blurry while nude (almost like the way some court/crime shows hide the faces of some people). It would probably get real old after one episode but....

Plus.... the show is too old. And it isn't just breasts, it's the whole frontal deal half the time.

And the dub is atrocious.
