I have no idea when and or if, "Big O" will return to Cartoon Network. The show only had thirteen episodes, IIRC. It's way too short to be aired weekdays and would fare better once a week.

It probably won't be coming back to Toonami for a while, unless new episodes are actually produced...

I know that has only 13 episodes but it has a big following(go to everanime.com if you want proof). I would think Cartoon Network would understand that and air it (maybe every weekend on Adult Swim?). I agree with your comment that it would probably do better once a week.

    BTW, what does IIRC mean??

As you can probably tell, I'm kind of new to this forum so I apologize if I take a little too long to reply.

Speaking of Big O, does anyone on the Toonami forum like Big O??

That's cool. I was hoping to find more people who liked the show. Do you have any of the DVD's? I have watched Volume 1 so many times that I want more(I recall seeing some epsiodes on Toonami but I don't remember much;after all, I like watching shows from the beginning). I'm getting Volume 2 tomorrow.

I'd get the Big O DVDs, but I don't have a DVD player, unfortunately.... I'll be getting one soon, though.

I hear that the Big O manga is interesting, and it's still running, too... You might want to look into that, also.

I really liked Big O. Of course, I bought the DVDs. I think that it was a highlight of Toonami when it was on.

One of the things that attracted me to Big O was its presentation. Here we had an anime show that reminded me of the original Batman: serious, stylish, and episodic. I also liked the unanswered questions the show left me with. It gave the viewers a reason to keep watching. Unfortunately, most of those questions were not answered....

The creators of it really want to make more, they just need approval.

[indent]I love Big O, it is one of my favorite Toonami series along with Tenchi Muyo! and DBZ. It probably just has not shown in awhile since it has had 3 runs each on the afternoon and Midnight runs of Toonami in the last 9 months. There were definitely plans for Season 2 based on the interview on the 4th DVD, but whether it ever actually went into production seems to be up in the air. I can't wait to start reading the manga. I believe it debuts stateside in February.

I agree with everything you said (I'm a big Batman fan). There is one extra reason I like the show: Roger calls Paradigm "The City of Amnesia". That's how I feel when I watch the show. We know what they know, and like the characters, the viewers try to piece everything together.

What is the manga called? Is it different than the Tv series?

Airing that little known anime called Big O that was cancelled in Japan was the smartest decision Toonami made last year. I anxiously await its return (especially since there's still some episodes I have to tape )

Big O could use some more episodes to develop its plot more. It could have really used that. Until then, I don't have any desire to see it on the block any time soon.
