I think I'm going to vote for Batman because he's always been a personal favorite of mine.Originally posted by Apache Chief
If not, when does it? Who are you voting for? Me, I love an underdog. Go Supes!
I remember when JC and Fayina had a big fight about this once.
*lol*
It's a tough choice. But I think I'll have to go with Batman.
Here, read this article from Toon Zone News regarding the Batman vs. Superman Toonami special event.

All Batman needs to do is hunk a chunk of Kryptonite at Supes, and he's down for the count.
In the Batman vs. Superman debate, I would be behind Batman. Batman as a person far surpasses Superman. Batman fights crime because of the tragedy with his parents. This gives him a valid reason and also gives his character substance. Superman just fights crime because he has super powers. I'm not saying this is bad, but it isn't really a good, reason once you think about it.
I would post more, but I'm in school and I'm out of time.

[indent]I'm all for Batman. Superman is cool also, but I would wager that Batman will win in a landslide. He may not have super powers, but there is no reason he can't out smart Superman. Also, Superman is strong and powerful, but he lacks Batman's training, technique, and skills. Those can make up for not being as strong or powerful any day.
Here's a little friendly debate ...
I'd have to disagree with that statement. His powers don't make him predisposed to fighting crime. Crime and Justice are idealogical, they are abstract concepts, purely elements of philosophy and thought. They have no physical manifestations, other than what usually RESULTS in the actions taken in the pursuit of either of these ideals.Originally posted by Dark Spider

I'm sure you realize that Superman's powers are physiological in nature. Hence, saying that he fights crime because of his powers is not accurate. He fights crime because of the choices he has made based on his own evaluation (with some help from Ma & Pa Kent, I'm sure) of the concepts of Crime and Justice/Good and Evil. He has decided to further the cause of justice - to the benefit of all mankind.
So, his powers are a means to an end, tools that give him an advantage in attaining his goals of a more peaceful global society. His powers are not the end unto themselves.
I think if you took those powers away, you'd still have someone with reason to seek to further the causes of good.
What do you think?
OH, though I am a pretty big Supes fan, I'd have to say that Bats would find a way to get the job done. That's his gig ... being ALWAYS prepared for just about any situation.

I agree with you luminous, totally. But the reason why I said that Superman fights crime only because of his super powers is because with his super powers he is able to fight crime on his own terms. If he was just another person, he wouldn't be able to do anything but rely on the police to correct everything. But he has been blessed with powers that far surpass those of normal people, with with them he can correct society only because he can. To tie in with what Luminous said, the reason why he chose to fight crime may have been from outside influences or his own personality, but he is able to do so because of his superpowers.
I hope this makes sense...

Im sorry but I'm going to vote for neither :\. But I never watched Super Saturday in the first place so it doesn't matter. I think they should make a third option- forget Super Saturday and bring back Rising Sun![]()

And let's not forget Supes lost his parents also.
As for who would win. The Bat would find a way to get the job done. As a matter it was revealed in Batman Beyond that he does indeed have a piece of Kryptonite.
