Well since DBZ is still around...

    Like This Thread!
How about we bug CN to show Season 4. Yeah it's long but it hasn't been shown in about 5 years and I for one would love to see it again. Maybe when Duel Masters 2.0 checks out they could double up DBZ (heck they could start Toonami at 6 and show 4 episodes if really wanted to).

Saiyan Saga is entertaining enough I suppose but how awesome would it be to add one of DBZ's more favored sagas to the already pretty killer line-up? I think it'd be pretty awesome.

Seeing as DBZ has shown it can still pull in those ratings I figure it could be around for a while (maybe not THAT long depending on what to pick up) since 7:30 hasn't been used for new content since Rave Master left a second time.

And I'm sure they have the rights to show it. I mean dang man they're showing Saban's edits and Saban doesn't even exist anymore.

Its late and you ain't thinking straight. Four ep. of DBZ? I thought you liked Toonami.

Everytime I see DBZ (you know the later seasons like 4 and 5) I have always seen the downfall of Toonami. Because Toonami started going downhill (in which it has never recovered from) when more than one episode of DBZ was shown on the block.

Actually it wasn't very late at all when I posted that (in my time zone).

Yeah sure, why not? CN never uses it for anything worth while anyway? I'd probably record it if not watch it. DBZ is one of those shows that's good to watch a few episodes in a row (probably due to the awful pacing). One episode a week is madness. I'd opt for weekdays but well... then it wouldn't be in Toonami obviously. 2 would be just fine. 1 would be fine but it'd take 77 weeks or more depending on pre-emptions.

I'd sacrifice two hours of Toonami for even just one episode from season 4. And if they would show the old bumpers and opening, man...

well I tend to agree. When DBZ came on for two episodes that did spell the end for toonami unfortunately. More importantly, since the uncut version isn't being shown on toonami, is there a chance that it will be shown again for another season?

2 dbzs would be cool , but 4 thats a lot. Maybe it could take the 7:00 time slot,But how many episodes of Duel Masters 2.0 are there?

I'd like it if they gave it a back-to-back airing and expanded the block, but showing 4 episodes on an already very limited space?

I can't see Saban's DBZ sticking around after the end of JLU. I think CN's current opinion on DBZ is that everyone has seen it before and there's no point in playing all the episodes in order, even if they're uncut premieres.
    My top five:
    1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
    2. Avatar: The Last Airbender
    3. Xavier: Renegade Angel
    4. Magi-Nation
    5. Moral Orel

I can't see Season 4 airing unless it got the uncut treatment. The edited versions have been done to death already.

Actually, Season 4 is the least run of all the DBZ sagas. Unlike the other sagas which returned from time time, Season 4 never did.

Personally, I'd like to see them skip ahead to the Captain Ginyu saga (where the weekday uncut run cut off.

Man Chris that'd be torture... that part of Namek takes forever and has awful pacing. That's why I say they should skip to Season 4.

And while they wouldn't use the same old promos hopefully they'd fit in the clip when Vegeta says "I am the prince of all Saiyans once again!".

Season 4 got a few full runs and since it was 77 episodes that seemed like quite a long time but as Chris said, Season 4 is the least played season. Season 5 wasn't played much either. 1, 2, 3, 6 got played too many times IMO.

Skipping ahead to the Ginyu/Frieza saga would be even worse than what they're doing right now. The pacing is just plain horrible in this part of DBZ. If it felt like it was dragging on when it aired 5 days a week, how would it feel 1 day a week? The Frieza fight would take more than half a year to finish. I say start from the point where Piccolo meets Cell to where Cell is defeated by Gohan. They need to let it go out with a bang.

Yeah, this is the only saga I have not seen, when I first started watching the show it was during the tournament before the Buu saga, then that summer they showed repeats until about 2 episodes before the end of the Frieza arc when they switched to new episodes. That next summer they put the Frieza saga back on but stopped right when the Androids arrived. Toonami always cuts them off at a cliffhanger.

Season four came at a perfect time in Toonami's life, thus it's presentation was great. Too bad they never really reaired that season. So, yeah, I can agree with wanting that back. Just, not taking up more than a single slot. Dang, when I think of it, I haven't watched those episodes in years...
