to those of you who've seen dbz subtitled

I was wondering just how much better the subtitled version is compared to the dubbed. I've only seen dbz dubbed, and was thinking of getting some subtitled tapes. the thing about dbz dubbed is i find alot of the dialogue to be corney and sort of out of place or pointless to the situation. and ive noticed that dbz doesnt have an underlying philosophical aspect to the show, like most other anime. is that due to bad dubbing or is the japanese version like that too. i just feel like somethings missing from the dubbed version. plus i bet the original music is better too. mainly i feel its missing that deeper side that most anime has, that i feel is due to the dubbing. anyone know? plus, what about dragon ball gt, is that worth seeing? i've heard mixed things about it. thanks for your help. peace.
