The Naruto Theme Song Speculation thread

Ok, now. We know the date and the time. We just don;t know what theme song will be accompanying Naruto this fall. What do you think and/or want to be the intro for the broadcast version?

I WANT them to use the original Japanese openings but since I'm sure that wont happen. I'll settle for a dubbed version of the 2nd or 4th opening. I except we'll get something closer to Zatch Bell's opening and in the first episode when you hear "Rocks" in the BG they'll air whatever opening they come up with.

Someone voted for a Viz made intro? Sigh...

No it seems two people did. And I don't see how they could translate any of them. I can't imagine Haurka Kanata being dubbed into english, but if it's somehow good I wouldn't mind. I'm going for anything that won't suck.

If they use the the original opening,that would be good (so good), but if they decide to dub it, it wouldn't bother me, as long if it's a good dubbed song.

If they're smart they'll have either a Toonami custom intro or an abridged version of the second opening. The other OP's...please no. Especially not Rocks and the horrifying sixth opening. They need an upbeat presentation, not the precise opposite (OP 1) or crap J-rock (OP 6)

I think Go would work fine for American audiences even if it's still in Japanese. It's catchy and they could even shorten it to 30 secs if they have to. (I've done it myself with a video editing program). It's slightly spoilerific. Most probably want the second opening in all it's Japanese glory. Maybe they could work something out for it like they did with FMA and Ciel.

I'd go with either the 2nd or GO

Only one I TRUELY hate is the one by with that high pitched girl singing it.

I'd love to see them air either Haruka Kanata, GO!, or even Kanashimi wo Yasashisa Ni in Japanese with English subtitles, or even if they were to use an ending theme like Viva Rock or the current ending song (the best yet, IMO), that would be cool.

But I wouldn't expect it. We already know that they're producing music for the show in addition to the original - why should anyone believe that this doesn't include the opening, since that's usually the first thing to go?

But that really doesn't bother me - so long as the opening they create is something actually decent, like Pokemon's openings, and not some thrown togethor piece of crap like "Rock the Dragon".

What would really bother me is if they messed with any of Flow, Orange Range, or Asian Kung-fu Generation's music and *gasp* dubbed them.

The 3rd one? I like it actually but I can't listen to it often. I listen to "GO" all the time. I love that song.

I don't care much for Rocks or the latest openings. Actually the 6th one is growing on me so...

I say Haruka Kanata (probably shortened for time). If not, then a Toonami intro will do nicely.

I voted for all 6 of the originals, because I want them used at the appropriate time.

I disagree. Plus the music is better then any Naruto Opening theme. I like the singing in it, though it isn't as good as Haruka Kanata.

... hm. The launch of Naruto will probably decide the fate of custom intros, being a big show and all.

... or maybe it'll just be up to every individual series like always.

Number of new shows since Saturday Toonami started to get a 30 second custom intro: 1

And I'd even take R*O*C*K*S over some 30 second intro thrown together by William's Street. They haven't had a good one since Mobile Suit Gundam 4 years ago.

It would be great if they used all of the openings, but I think the best we can hope for is a shortened version of the second opening. I'm not a huge Naruto fan, but I'll be damned if that isn't one of the best openings I've ever seen.

I mean, Sony did say that they wanted to promot AKFG...
