What Happened to Tenchi Finally Making a Decision?

I heard once a while ago that Tenchi was finally going to decide which woman in his harem that he was going to be with. Did that ever happen?

I'd like to see him finally make a decision.
I haven't been following the 3rd OVA but if it were the manga version I'd say Ryoko.

That's non-canon anyway, since Kiyone is in it. She never met Tenchi in the offical timeline (AKA the OVA's), rather she's still floating in some wreck somewhere.

Actually Kiyone does show up in the original Tenchi OVA timeline in the "Tenchi Muyo Mihoshi Special".

So she is techincally canon, and she is my favorite tenchi character.

No, Tenchi Forever isn't canon, but I still don't think the ended actually significed that Tenchi finally made a choice between any of the girls.

Early news on the 3rd OVA series said he would make the choice, but last I heard they reneged on that.

The manga, though it has spiraled off into its own complicated continuity, is based on the OVA series so I doubt it'll ever have Tenchi choosing either.

Shame it only comes out twice a year, what a long wait ;_;

I hope he does make a decision in the 3rd OVA. I hope its one of the original girls and not any of the new characters they introduced. (I saw some stuff on the 3rd OVA and there's a huge number of new people involved whom I've never seen before).

Anyway, no decision (for a single girl) has been made, no decision (for a single girl) will be made. Because that's what Tenchi wants, sub-conciously.


P.S. - the only Kiyone in OVA continuity is Tenchi's mother.

But then again, when the main hook of the show is one loser who can't choose between 6 women, making him choose seems...well, it kinda defeats the purpose of everything.

It's been a while since I watched any of OVA 3, but I think they introduce a new character who was supposed to be Mihoshi's ex-partner or something. In fact, they introduce a ton of new characters (most of whom are possible love interests) so I don't think we're any closer to finding out who Tenchi chooses than we were at the end of OVA 2. Then again, I never finished watching OVA 3 because well, they stopped subbing it after it was licensed.
