the part about Kenshin said "the long departed but never forgotten Rurouni Kenshin" so its just more WS showing the love for it
Nothing too different, it basically has the same speech as normal, with PC reading off the shows. It's got some really nice, slower music too.
Still pimping Kenshin as "the long departed Rurouni Kenshin!".
Tagline was at the beginning, but it was just a slightly modified "Saturday night belongs to the fighters..."
Matthew 21:19
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.

FInally saw it. Much better than the last one. Like the original music they chose.
That's not even the new one. The new one hypes JLU premieres and ends with a Toonami graffiti logo, but CN is NOT running it for some reason. The only place you can see it is other networks through COBs.
Damn. So how long has the one I thought was new been playing? Sounds like it'll be more time than it's worth looking for this actual new one.Originally Posted by Matt Wilson

A COB, or Cable Operator's Break, is a series of commercials inserted by your local cable provider. They are what used to run over the Brak News segments on Adult Swim for certain people, and are also the reason why you sometimes see advertisements for R-rated movies on CN (which I think they are still not allowed to show themselves.)
Fun fact: If you turn on SAP while a COB is playing, you can hear the audio from the non COB commercials.
No. I'm not.Originally Posted by gundam123

Hopefully, Matt's right about the toonami being advertised on other networks. It would be nice if he would give us a description.

It would be nice if they were actively advertising on other networks...but they aren't. COBs are local, which means your local area/state provider is advertising it on their own.Originally Posted by Rave Master1

However, it is still partially the network advertising Toonami on other networks. My understanding is that the network provides certain promos to cable companies to use for COBs, etc. Often they are "taggable," meaning there is space at the end for the cable company to identify itself or add a sponsor. If several cable companies are running this promo then CN is liking pushing this promo to be used in COBs right now. Thus, CN can advertise on other networks without actually buying the time themselves.Originally Posted by Discloner
Unfortunately, my cable company seems to be on a low COB diet right now.

Woah, I think I just saw it. I knew it was a different one than the other because of Hiei at the end(which was cool). Very good.
For the record the new ad has "Don't sweat the technique" at the end.
And contains this:

Wow...that's a rather impressive image. Much better then the normal fade into White with red bars, although if they're thinking about switching to this all-together, I can see it loosing it's unique shine quickly.

I gotta say, that's some nice graffitti right there.

Oh yeah. Definetly profesional work there. Veeeeery cool.
I hope Tyler gets both the lineups on TDA, they sure are playing them alot.
Yeah, right, like Tyler's going to get those ads... unless we all give him milk and cookies!
That Toonami logo is tight, son! I need to watch Nick more often to see that COB commercial. TimeWarner Cable is around NY, so I think that they are the ones feeding Cablevision, the inferior company, the ads. They've shown a number of Cartoon Network ads on Nick.
Well, Tyler hasn't updated the TDA since like, mid-november.![]()
