This is my first viewing of said episode and wow---the imagery is powerful. Aku destroying the elder Jack's home with him screaming. Wow.
10 Samurai - Even better than "Jack and the Spartans"! Simply amazing!
9 Samurai - If only Jack's dad fought some blind archers...
8 Samurai - Jack's dad rocks even more than talking dogs.
7 Samurai - Aku's not as evil as his fairytales, but he does get the job done.
6 Samurai - I wish Aku did some breakdancing while he killed people.
5 Samurai - If Aku really wanted to stop Jack's dad so bad, then turn him into a chicken!
4 Samurai - I'm surprised Link didn't show up to help stop Aku.
3 Samurai - It would've been cooler if the Scottsman was there.
2 Samurai - Wow. And I thought that Mer-man episode was crap.
1 Samurai - If Aku's so powerful, why does he get beaten so handidly?
0 Samurai - Eh, Aku should've just sent some zombies after Jack's dad. Shotguns haven't been invented yet.
As a special gift to all loyal Samurai Jack viewers, Cartoon Network is showing an extra two episodes of the time-traveling samurai. These two were even more special since they have recently won the holy prize: an Emmy, beating out Spongebob Squarepants and The Simpsons, which was unheard of in recent years. Now, you get to relive the epic greatness as pure evil is reborn again, and only one emperor can stop it. Gotta love it!
Millions of years before Jack was shipped through time, an ancient black mass of pure evil was riding across the galaxy, chased by the three ancient gods Odin, Ra, and Rama. During the fight, a piece of the black mass is broken off and heads towards the Earth, forming the Shogun of Sorrow, the Deliverer of Darkness, the evil demon Aku. Desperate to stop the evil demon, a young emperor embarks on a quest to retrieve the one item that will allow him to make peace once and for all, but he'll need some godly help in order to accomplish it...
Spoilers: Eh, most people have seen this episode already, so I'm not gonna fuss with it. Just sit back and enjoy the episode. (I know how hard that can be, but just do it anyway.)

I taped all of Toonami... except I forgot this. >_> Still awesome as ever.
You must not run away.
You must not turn your back on him.
He comes for people who have been driven into a corner and have nowhere to go.
You must not talk about him.
You must not think about him.
The rumors help him grow.
Imagination.
Paranoia nurtures him!
First time really sitting down to watch it...WOW.
"Name's Duo Maxwell, I may run and hide but I never tell a lie, except for that time I put itching powder in Father Maxwell's shorts, but we won't get into that."
This is actually the first time I've watched it.
Definetely deserved that emmy.
Wow, I'm really digging this second episode.
Almost a Cowboy Bebop sort of feel.
"The Birth of Evil' is really not that good.I didnt even bother to watch it all. Plus, Jack wasnt even in it.
If you didn't watch it, how can you dislike it?Originally Posted by Zach Williams
o.O For such an awesome episode, there's very little talk about it...
Anyway, while it's not my favorite episode (It's a tie between Jack & The Spartans, Jack & the Haunted House, and Jack & the Scotsman Part III), it's definately in my Top 10. This episode friggin ruled!

Beautiful episode, I'm sure there was no contest for that Emmy (spongebob?...please)
Have they ever done an entire ep with no dialogue whatsoever? I was kinda hoping this one would be like that.

A great friend, taken before his time.

This episode, though I've seen it already is a work of art. Very very great episode of SJ, I think they aired on the long gone Sves.. This episode deserved that emmy.

Yes, I believe that episode where an assassin (girl?) ambushed for a duel with Jack passing in a snow-covered forest. No dialogue at all.Originally Posted by Conekiller
Do you mean "Jack & the Bounty Hunters," where a blue-colored Samus wanted the bounty?Originally Posted by lostrune
