Yu Yu Hakusho "The Tunnel" Talkback(Spoilers)

Season Two of Yu Yu Hakusho continues. We are finally realised to the truth as Genkai reveals herself to be the brains behind the plan laid out by the three human boys. Though this is only a warm up truth. Motives play part, let's see where it fleshes out and how. This is the official Talkback thread for the Yu Yu Hakusho episode "The Tunnel" airing on Toonami August 27th at 9.5 PM (8.5 Central). However gruesome and painfully addictive in sight, don't let that stop you from commenting on this episode!

Last week we just had come out of the strong battle of wits between Kaitou and Kuama. The fox, of course, prevailed and the group continued onwards through the mansion. After seemingly strolling through the insane, colorful dimensions and coming out to face Kido and a captured Yusuke, the last part of the test was revieled. After some side tracks Yusuke finally "saw" through Yana's copy. Then she appeared. Genkai the old hag. Bringing with her the next reason and realization. Though what are they? Watch and find out! ONLY Toonami.

Okay, so it turns out that Genkai-Obaasan was the person behind the entire "Capture Yuusuke" ordeal, and the three skilled boys whom were owning our entire crew(other than Kurama-kun) are allies underneath her command. But what is worse, is that someone is aiming to continue Sakyou's goal. To open the Makai no Tobira - The Gateway to the Demon World. But why? And Who is it? How can Yuusuke and the others stop whomever is trying to do this, and how much time do they have to do i?. And even worse, it would seem one of our Reikai Tantei, Kuwabara Kazuma, has lost his reiki, and ability to see/sense it. Things are just getting worse and worse. What if our heroes dont succeed? What horrors could befall Ningenkai, the world of Humans? One things for sure, it's off to Mushiyori city to continue the best arc in all of Yuu Yuu Hakusho.

Yay! The ball is finally rolling. Since the villian is formally introduced, I'm got a new avatar and sig just for the occasion (that and One Piece doesn't seem to be winning the polls so I gave up on that). I like this episode for more than one reason. We finally meet the mastermind, the guy we love to hate returns, and Kuwabara's scene is HILARIOUS. These next couple of episodes are some of my favorites out of the entire arc.

Oh yeah, does anyone think that CN is gonna play that Unbalanced Kisses/The Sun Will Shine Tomorrow combo ending again or are they gonna fixed that?

I think they probably purposly did that ending mix up. It kind of make sense to me but at the same time it's like WTF.

The Makai no Tobira Hen, or Chapter Black as FUNi calls it, started 4 episodes ago. This is just an episode where plots are revealed.

Yeah but to me I consider it the first episode because this is where it really starts. But your right it did start four episodes ago.

Sorry for the delay Youko and gang. Like a fool I went and lay on the bed, you never do that when you feel even the smallest amount of tiredness. I was out. Woke up and 4 and made the same mistake again. Then again. Well anyway, I can't believe we're this close to Doctor. Was just watching it the other day. At the tournament I thought it'd take forever but we're drawing near a perk. Then it only gets better, quite invigerating.

It all depends onw what tapes Funimation has sent them. Cartoon Network doesn't have control over what sound plays over what visuals with Yu Yu Hakusho since Funimation does everything with the series.

I haven't seen the saga yet and didn't know that there was a whole mix up until I got on the forums last week. But at the time while I was watching, it did make sense to me. I thought the song fit pretty well with the video.

THere is the bad guy( I don't know his name) and the gang. The saga of fights between those two are about two begin so they put the video and the depressing song together. That's basically what I was thinking while watching the ending.

Yeah. For those who've seen it before it does infact sound wierd. I didn't think it was necessarily bad just strange. Can never tell what's being thought...

I just think that it was either a mixup or FUNi was trying to show both endings in a strange way even though the fourth ending should come next season (if you've seen the later episodes you know why) I'm still scared about seeing Unbalanced Kisses with The Sun Will Shine Tomorrow video.

Hmm, you'd think they'd want to save it. Though this is still how they're doing the seasons. Which still makes little sence since by the standards here we're still on season two. Almost seemed too "nicely" merged to be a mixup but then again I didn't really pay good attension. So I'd better pay attension this time.

Actually I think FUNimation's dubbed over version of Unbalanced Kiss wa Shite is absolute crap. Great Translation, but they hired like some hack street boy band of 3 off the street to sing it. I hope the "mixup" happens again, because their fourth ending theme is vastly superior to the original.

Well it isn't considered entirely bad, just strange. Though hearing you say that makes up for the wierdness.Hmm...that wasn't bad music used for that promo.
