Toonami needs it's own daytime block, so if tom and jerry was cut, camp cartoon could take it's hour and cut the last hour it has and cut ed, edd, and eddy with kids next door to allow two hours of daily programming for Toonami

if that happened, i dont think toonami would use shows like yyh or gundam seed. they'd use jca, rave master, teen titans, and duel masters. cn never aims at the teen demographic in the afternoon.

Thus why 10-11PM is the only shot Toonami has got.

Hmm, I just can't see Toonami really branching back to weekdays while it still has the saturday slot, and with Miguzi doing well, it can't go back to it's old spot..

And I think it's fine how it is, I think instead of having Toonami expand to prime time for an hour right before AS, just leave it un blocked and put Kenshin and something else there.. So we could see the OP too..

I don't care if its Toonami or not, I just want Kenshin to come back, I wish they would put it after Cyborg 009 on Friday night, Dexters Lab can't get that great of ratings.

A Sunday-night block MIGHT work as well, though obviously not as big as Saturday Toonami.

    I think...

Toonami SHOULD come back to weekdays.

    On Kids' WB!.

    Why?

    1) To see how WB would handle Gundam/YYH/Kenshin.
    2) MiST-able bumpers. Like, Yusuke talking with the Kids' WB! sock. It'd be so cheesy watching his mouth move staticly like they do with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! commercials (so bad they're hilarious). Imagine. "Kids' WB! sock, I'm going to teach you how to fight. Aim your hand like this to fire a Spirit Gun. Wait... you don't have any hands. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA."

If nobody likes that idea, I propose a WVES (Weekdays Video Entertainment System). Screw Miguzi, make WVES, insert the kickass-ness of SVES's final hours with Yuyu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Saint Seiya, Cyborg 009, .hack//SIGN, and an open slot for short series (Gundam 0080, .hack//DUSK, stuff along those lines). Or... DBZ (if it's Cell Saga, of course). Or even better... the sole saving grace to any action block...

    TBA.

    Or Spongebob. Whichever works best.

Toonami needs to establish itself on Saturday nights before it tries to expand anywhere else. At this point Cartoon Network is already having to plug in Teen Titans early just to shore up ratings. I'd like to see Toonami expand, but for now the focus has to be on what Toonami already has.

    Re: An Toonami Idea

I have to agree with Will on this one. Toonami still needs to make a name for itself on Saturday, before going elsewhere.

"Bender should not be allowed on television" - much less Kids' WB!

I thought Toonami already had a name for itself. Shoot the block has a legacy.

I don't see how one hour would kill it especially if they used popular series like YYH and DBZ/GT. I could see how Kenshin could blow up in their faces big time... but not GT (but I'd rather have season 4 of DBZ).

They should definentilly have something by fall so they can rerun the first half of SEED on weekdays as well as either Dark Tournament YYH or Dragonball GT.
