And the title of SEED 2...

    Like This Thread!
is possibly Gundam SEED-Destiny. This information was found by Gundam Watch user 'darkhunger' (http://www.gundamwatch.com/invision/...showtopic=2817). With a title like that
    Spoiler:
looks like we'll get a better explanation about SEED Factor

    That's a nice title. I like it.

Yeah, but this is a direct sequel. And we haven't had one of those since ZZ.

    Spoiler:
I doubt it'll be a direct sequel. The furthest we've gotten in the animation is Phase After, which shows the survivours returning to regular life and EA and ZAFT trying to negotiate but not getting very far. I'll bet the sequel is set at least a year or two in the future to give all sides time to recover and new tech to be invented. Personally, if Kira is the Ultimate Coordinator I don't see how a new main character could stand up to him

Odds are still a new main cast. Z and ZZ did it that way. CCA had old cast members returning but they still dumped most of the regulars from the series that came before it.

Endless Waltz is the sole exception.

Well the EA pilots certainly gave him a run for his money as did cruze. If the Freedom Gundam was'nt as powerful as it was they could have beat him. Also the EA or Blue Cosmos could make some newer more powerful mobile suits to help them compete with the cordinators theres also the fact they could create some more powerful ones like the baka trio(popular name we used to called them by).

The only question is how could they make the MS technology plausible for it's time even after Freedom and Justice.

Fullmetal Alchemist? I thought it was replacing Inuyasha...or am I behind?

Inuyasha is on a different channel (TV Tokyo) and FMA replaced Seed to begin with.

I knew about Fullmetal Alchemist already. I now don't get what the crap about Inuyasha was for. Atleast we now know when Seed 2 is coming also.

    Cool.

I'm sure chracters from the first show will at least make cameo appearences, but we should expect a new protagonist--Gundam has never had consecutive series with the same main character(s). Granted, there is a first time for everything, but still.

I do hope Kira and certain others have supporting roles in the story, a bit more so than Amuro Ray got in Zeta Gundam. Time will tell.

This is airing in Japan in the fall, right?

I'm betting they'll go the MSG route and have Murrue be the commander of the new White Base, with Kira as the main pilot and the newbie as his protegé.

Eh, Gundam SEED Destiny sounds kinda cheesy to me. I hope that the sequel features a new main cast, with the original cast in supporting roles. IMO, they isn't much more that can be done with them.

It'd be cool if Blue Cosmos took over the EA and made a full Natural/cooridnater war with a new cast trying to end it with the older characters helping
