First, Mobile Suit Gundam has not been the first series taken off of CN. So calm down just a scoch.

Second, right after the Sept. 11 Attacks, they took off both MSGundam and 08th MS Team, because both deal with war.

I don't why it hasn't been put back on yet, but I'm sure they'll put it back on at some point.

    ???

Why on earth did they just put on 08th MS Team on in it's place?! I like the show and everything, but I'd rather watch the rest of Mobile Suit Gundam.

That's right, 08th ms team just isn't as good as the original. It's okay, but I prefer the story of Amuro Rei and his Gundam(s). So why in the world is 08th in its place?
This is very similar to the suggestion put forward by the Quirmian philosopher Ventre, who said, "Possibly the gods exist, and possibly they do not. So why not believe in them in any case? If it's all true you'll go to a lovely place when you die, and if it isn't then you've lost nothing, right?" When he died he woke up in a circle of gods holding nasty-looking sticks and one of them said, "We're going to show you what we think of Mr Clever Dick in these parts..."

They should just finish MS Gundam in a marathon run. Apparently, MS Gundam didn't bring in as good ratings as they wanted--though that is actually in debate. I mean, with 5 episodes or so left to go, they could easily devote some 3 hours to finishing it off, if they want to get the show over with.

I hope they don't go back on Zeta Gundam. That too, is an old-looking show, but to most Gundam fans, it is the epitome of Gundam: A complex storyline, a large cast of characters with believable perssonalities, angst and grimness galore--all aspects that are generally NOT popular with most viewers. And it doesn't get any more bleak than Zeta Gundam.

I think it got enough good ratings. For crying out loud they're bringing Reboot back on!! I think they can at least afford to show the remaining five episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam.

One thing though...it's not our network. Cause if it was it'd be showing some awesome toons!

You also forgot about 08Th MS Team, that show wasn't really finished either, they didn't show episode 12.

08Th MS Team wasn't taken off because of the attack, it was already gone because of DBZ reruns returned at midnight.

Personally, I thought 08th MS Team was one of the better Gundams produced--though people are probably getting sick of the same 11 episodes being shown over and over, don't let this repetition kill your original opinion of the show/mini-series.

I'd also advise Gundam fans to TRY to catch Gundam 0080. It really is quite well written. Not my personal favourite Gundam series, but it is hard to fault from a critical standpoint. The biggest problem is that 0080 is rather heavy handed, I guess, but the "message" is still handled better than in other war movies such as Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan.
