    UGH (concerning DB)

    Like This Thread!
Apparently it seems that after DB153 airs... again, Toonami's going back to King Piccolo... AGAIN.

According to TiVo anyway. If it happens, then... yeah, ugh.

Maybe the reruns are getting good enough ratings that they figure they can run the saga one more time?

In any case, that really sucks. I want a DB/Z/GT full run, dagnabbit!

So they're airing the worst saga of the worst part of the Dragonball franchise (IMO) again?

I'd REALLY rather see Garlic Jr. show up again.

There is nothing at all unusual about Toonami running any decently popular show for the third time in a row.

Can't believe you said you'd take Garlic Jr. over King Piccolo.

My sentiments exactly. I agree Knux. The KinG Piccolo saga has no replay value period in my opinion.. I'd totally like to Garlic Jr and co. before seeing this again..

I like the King Piccolo saga...not as much as the rest of Dragonball, but I still like it...

Yes it's replaying and unless Dragonball Z leaves in April then Toonami wont have room for any brand new series until Summer of 2004. Not that new YYH and new SDG wont be great but it would be nice to get something fresh.

Using that argument though, they should never acquire more than 26 episodes of anything. Only acquiring 26 episodes of as many shows as possible would allow them to keep the lineup as fresh as possible, but they wouldn't finish a lot of shows.

Personnally, as long as the new episodes are good, I would rather have new episodes of shows we already have as opposed to completely new series.

True but DB and DBZ aren't new and they aren't good reruns at that.

I can see DBZ moving off of Toonami in April. I mean, they did it just a couple months ago...

What is good is all in the eye of the beholder and good ratings indicate a lot of folks disagree.

Personnally, yeah, I'd rather see something different than DB/Z on the block, but considering all the other fans I think it is reasonable to have those shows on the schedule.

Reasonable I suppose but shouldn't they cut it off and leave 'em begging for more instead of dragging on the way they are? Say they give DB/Z a break and then hit us with the full run in the summer. That would be great! They could even take up half of Toonami again as long as they play 2 episodes in order rather than one from Z and one from DB.

CN has opted to stop Toonami shows in mid-run before. Just because they're starting another run of episodes doesn't mean that they're going finish another run of episodes.

This would be a good time for CN to reach into their vaults and find a show to rerun as filler. Perhaps JQ or Batman? (JQ on Toonami again? LOL!)
