Hate to be a bearer of bad (to some, good to others) news, but according to Animation World News (http://news.awn.com), Gundam SEED will be seen on the Action block on Saturday evenings in April. Although they didn't give an exact date, it is believed that the popular Gundam series will begin on Saturday, April 17. Educated guess . . . they'll probably put it in the pre-ASA hour at 10 PM EST/PST. Great lead in, but what do I know?
I'm just the messenger.
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.

Assuming Saturdays is still, well... Saturdays, and this story is true...
Now, William, would you agree that Saturdays (The block) is stealing shows that would otherwise go to Toonami?

Its guarenteed to air on Toonami at some point so its not going to get lighter edits than if it was on Toonami. SVES doesn't get lighter edits and it probably never will.Originally Posted by Beatdigga

I'm gonna watch because I've been waiting for Gundam SEED to hit the states for quite some time. Nothing is sacred for Toonami anymore... Its only a matter of time before GT ends up on SVES now. Everything else notable has.
Couldn't they just have originals and general CN action shows? There's more than enough to fill a block and if they would air the next set of Pokemon episodes (which they have but haven't aired yet) and get more X-Men and JCA... then they'd have plenty of premieres.
.hack//SIGN, Kenshin, and Cyborg 009 were all failed experiements in the eyes of CN execs so I can stand having them on SVES (though they all deserve weekday runs), but airing a brand new aquisition that was certainly Toonami bound and in a freak'n dry spell!
WS better have something freak'n amazing they aren't telling anyone about because otherwise Toonami's spring boost isn't looking so boostful.

Yayyy....real opening!! Maybe full(or decently shortened) ending too?

Ladies and Gentlemen, that's the kind of sentiment on this board that's driving me nuts. Oh, it's fine if it's not on Toonami, 'cause we get the damn original intro and full-length credits...

Which leaves Toonami what?
Honestly it wouldn't suprise me one bit if YYH's new season aired on SVES and Rave Master went there too. Oh and Duel Masters is probably a lost cause.
Apparently Toonami can't air new episodes of CN originals or CN co-funded shows even when they have ties to previous Toonami series... but SVES can air new episodes of ex-Toonami or Toonami bound shows.
Stealing Very Entertaing Shows... I've never meant it as much as I do right at this moment.

Although that gives loads of amunition to the Saturday haters. (Of which I am one, whoohoo!) At least its not a series that I particularly love. I'm just not that into Gundam. But it is really annoying that Toonami gets stuck with SD only.
Don't look at this space.
If seed's opening is the one avalible at TDA, I highly doubt you'll be able to see the original anytime anywhere on Cartoon Network, or atleast on section of it.Originally Posted by MattThomasM2B

Exactly! Does it have a second OP or do you think Bandai will make there own? I'm guessing the later. So then it doesn't matter if it has its OP.Originally Posted by Discloner
I do want to see Cyborg 009's though. I'll be sure to watch part of or all of the marathon.

Yeah well sorry but a talking robot doesn't do jack for me against how the show was meant to open. I shouldn't have to go to TDA to see the opening.Originally Posted by Knux Five

Seed must be for toonami not for saturday..
asnd Zeta for ASA or adult swim weekdays
Yeah well, Seed's intro is nowhere near as old as "Fly! Gundam!"Originally Posted by Knux Five

And it didn't have the nudity that SEED's intro does. Ya never know, Bandai just might remix the intro (Cut that shot out, etc.), Bandai could get CN to make one, etc.
Remember, this is only assuming that this article along with the others are correct. Hopefully they're wrong, but with my luck, they're right.

They all have nudity? Well gee... I guess that means Bandai will have to make their own for edited DVD's so that parents don't flip-out or anything... and there's no point in showing it because Toonami will probably give it a cooler intro anyway. They sure have in the case of DBZ, Transformers, and DBGT.
It would be awesome if Toonami took over Saturdays!
