I like rock music....that sounds general, but I like all kinds of rock music, including grunge, indie-rock, metal, progressive, funk and punk. And some of my favorites, aren't very well known, but I feel that sometimes you have to look for the best artists....and when you find them, the rewards are great. Among my favorites are Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Local H, Filter, Burning Brides, Flickerstick, the Offspring, the Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Blur, Gorillaz and I Mother Earth.

I also like classic rock music. Among my favorites are Led Zepplin, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Elton John, the Guess Who, Neil Young, Billy Joel, David Bowie, Chicago, the Moody Blues, Styx, Harry Nilsson, Frank Zappa, Rush and Yes.

I'm not really into most of these really popular modern bands....like Creed, Evanescence (Creed with female vocals), Linkin Park or Nickelback. They all seem to be overhyped and sometimes copycats of each other. But if someone likes that, it's alright with me....everyone has their own taste! That's part of what makes us all unique!

I enjoy mostly progressive and death metal, but I can listen to anything that I find good, really. I really don't listen to the radio or watch any music channels anymore, though, so I'm completely out of the loop as to what's cool right now.

This may sound insane, but I like everything. Techno, hip-hop, jazz, and alternative rock, mainly. Well, everything but country. Except a few Dixie Chicks songs. Man, those girls are baaaadddd... "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition." :p

Strictly hip Hop/rap. Nothing else really. No offense to heavy metal fans, but that stuff makes me want to tear my ears off. But then again, I'm sure a lot of you hate rap.

I don't like a particular genre. I dislike a lot of things in every genre, but I also enjoy a lot in every genre too.

I'm a musician, and I can listen to and appreciate all forms of music. But my heart is with jazz. I'm more into fusion stuff from bands/artists like Scott Henderson, Pat Metheny, T-Square, etc. Sadly, I can't find a lot of music like that here in the USA, and I have to import nearly all of my music CDs. It gets expensive, but I'll make sacrifices for music.

    Good music.

I say that because each genre or style has good artists and each style has their fair share of crap.

The only type of music I actively seek out is metal, but as long as it isn't rap, techno, teen pop, or Mexican music (don't ask) I can probably tolerate it.

    Rock
    Pop
    J-pop
    A little bit of R&B

FYI, Z100 did not originally play rock songs. Mostly pop.
