His Daffy Duck cartoons from the 1940s (like Daffy Dilly and Tom Turk and Daffy) constistantly make me laugh myself silly. His Daffies from the 40s are some of his funniest and most under-rated work (the Extremems and In-Betweens special didn't even show clips from any of them!).

I also love "Lost and Foundling," "Rabbit of Seville," "Fresh Airedale," "Hare Tonic" (Rabbititus!), "The Dover Boys," "Kiss Me Cat" and his various minor character series. Actually, I can't really list favorites because I have too many, but pretty much anything he made durring his first 15 years directing, and a group of stuff after that.

Doen't forget that mini holiday movie that many would consider his masterpiece "How the Grinch stole Christmas".

Get on the Chuck (Jones) Wagon

Ah, Chuck Jones--the man, the myth, the legend, the main reason why I started watching cartoons again...and seeing their dark side (read: the side that kids aren't usually privy to, but older cartoon fans are).

Now that it's almost been a year since he departed from this Earth, leaving behind a legacy of laughs and inspiration for the next generation of animators (the ones who are good), I can evaluate all of his cartoons that I liked (in order of characters):

    Bugs Bunny

    What's Opera Doc
    Homeless Hare
    Frigid Hare
    8 Ball Bunny
    Bugs Bonnets
    Mississippi Hare
    Long-Haired Hare
    Rabbit Hood
    Rabbit Fire
    Rabbit Seasoning
    Duck, Rabbit, Duck
My Bunny Lies Over the Sea
    The Rabbit of Seville
    Transylvania 6-5000
    The Hasty Hare

    Daffy & Porky

    Duck Amuck
    The Scarlet Pumpernickel
    Drip-Along Daffy
    Deduce You Say
    The Ducksters
    My Little Duckaroo

    Pepe Le Pew

Wild Over You (I hold this cartoon very dear to my hear because if it weren't for this one, I would not be analyzing--and overanalyzing--cartoons)
    The Cat's Bah
    Little Beau Pepe
    Scent of the Matterhorn
    Touche and Go
    For Scent-imental Reasons

    The Road Runner

    Beep Beep!
    Fast and Furry-ous
    Beep Prepared
    War and Pieces

    The Dysfunctional Bear Family

Bugs Bunny & The Three Bears
    A Bear For Punishment
    Bear Feat

    Bugs & Wile E. Coyote

    Operation Rabbit
    Hare-Breadth Hurry
    Rabbit's Feat

    One Hit Wonder Toons

    One Froggy Evening
    The Mouse on 57th Street
    Nelly's Folly
    Now Hear This
    Feed The Kitty
    The Dover Boys
    From A to Z-Z-Z-Z
    Boyhood Daze
    Martian Through Georgia
    Cat Feud

    MGM Cartoons

The Cat Above and the Mouse Below

I used to love those, but I always cringed at the violence in it. I mean, most animated violence at the time was very over the top, but a father smashing his son in the face with a shovel... I'm surprised that they got away with so much!
