Hmm. That's a good point; with Cable making his debut soon, who knows what time travel stories could be used?

I will say this: if we get time travel, they need to bring in Bishop. That time he met Cable in X-Men: TAS was so cool when I was younger.

I mean after the currently announced movies.
Omar Sy looked so good in Days of Future Past as Bishop. I really want him to get a bigger role in another X-Men movie.

IMHO, Idris Elba was born to play Bishop. He can too, if his contract is up after 'Thor Ragnarok'.

Be nice if Bishop gets a mention in a 4th wall gag in Deadpool 2, at the very least :rolleyes2:...

I see. Time travel is a pretty big gimmick with X-Men lore. I'm not sure it'll be the last we see of it. I liked Omar Sy's take on Bishop as well. And with the timeline change, it's an open book on where Bishop will show up again.

Depending how 'tastefully' it's done, it'd be funny if DP wants him to be his one black friend.

I'm just talking about jumping around between time periods like Deadpool taking place in the present, yet X-Men Apocalypse takes place in the past. Actual time travel itself like X-Men: Days of Future Past is fine by me (as long as it's not overdone).

I hope Bishop shows up again and is hopefully not recast (though it's possible he will be).
I hope no one would befriend me for that reason. Anyway, he does have Blind Al.

Mmm. Yeah, they are running out of decades so it's likely it will stop eventually.

    True.

Kinberg confirms both Deadpool and Cable will feature in X-Force:

Sir Patrick Stewart and Dan Stevens were talking about Professor X appearing in Legion on The Late Late Show. While Legion doesn't take place in the X-Men film series, I won't be surprised if an alternate universe situation could happen since the timeline for the X-Men movies is already all over the place.

Thanks to Legion and Deadpool, Stewart might not be done with the role after all which is fine by me since Logan was supposed to be a goodbye for Wolverine more than anything else. Hopefully, any cameos or supporting roles in other projects doesn't take away from Xavier's story in Logan.

Makes sense to me. I honestly thought that was already confirmed or at least assumed.

It's going to be interesting seeing how Deadpool fits into, what I assume will be, a very action-driven and dramatic movie e compared to his own solo's (aside from functioning as the obvious comedy relief). Maybe take some cues from Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force...

Rhett Reese confirmed Deadpool 3 and X-Force will be two separate movies. DP3 will stay small and personal while X-Force is the flashier team movie.

Sounds good to me. My concern was that X-Force would basically be a Deadpool film; I want every member to get adequate screen time.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the modern X-Force team. I'm certainly not a fan of Deadpool. The original team from Liefeld is who I rather see. Cable, Domino, Shatterstar, Cannonball, Feral, Boom Boom and Warpath. No room for DP, and he would detract from what I envisioned the team.

Well, shouldn't it be Liefeld-Nicenza since Fabian Nicenza co-created X-Force?

Also, any reason why you're not a fan of Deadpool?

I'm not a fan of self-referential material. I never finished The Dark Tower series, but now I have no desire to. The Stan Lee-STEVE DITKO Spider-Man was funnier.

Well like him or not I expect Deadpool to still play a decent part in X-Force though since he is self aware he could mock the idea of getting more screentime then anyone else due to his popularity.

Honestly I'm with the person who suggested they find a way to work X-23 into X-Force. Seriously again with DP you could give a meta explanation for it and everyone would be fine.

Well, my first perception of all of this was to give New Mutants first dibs and that leads into X-Force, as the comics did. In fact, they shared some of the same characters. I don't have a huge problem with DP in X-Force, nor Psylocke if they get her. Just not quite my jam.

In certain doses or situations. I love Ferris Bueller, which quite possibly did it the best.
